Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

“Yes, that’s right. Start with drawing an oval, this is the rabbit’s head. Then, draw a big eye and two long ears…”

Very quickly, a simple rabbit was drawn. Below, a small girl aged about 7 or 8 smiled and asked, “Brother Liu, are you busy today? Can we not practice drawing today? We haven’t seen you in a few days, can you tell us stories!”

The other five to six children all shouted, “That’s right, that’s right. Brother Liu, please tell us stories!”

“Just stories? OK.” Liu Mingxin turned around at looked at the only young girl in the room who was around 22 or 23 years old. He smiled and said, “Xiao Ming, go and cook some food. The children will probably be hungry at night. They have to eat more now since they are at the growing stage. Later, I will eat a bit with everyone too.”

“OK, Young Master.” The girl called Xiao Ming smiled and went into the kitchen to cook dinner.

“Then, what do all of you want to ask?” After the girl left, Liu Mingxin smiled and asked, “As long as it’s something you all want to know, I can tell it to you.”

“Brother Liu.” The 7 or 8 years old small girl bounced up and down and asked, “Tell us the story of Young Master Dali again! His luck is really too good, hehe. Even Brother Liu can’t win against him!”

“Haha, you want to hear about Young Master Dali? OK! Then, let’s talk about his story!” Liu Mingxin laughed loudly and said, “This kid, he normally just squanders and go around spending money. He spends money everywhere he goes. If it was someone else, they would definitely spend their money very quickly. Yet, guess what? This kid’s money actually increased more as he spent more. Even I can’t earn money as fast as him!”

“Brother Liu.” A small boy below asked, “Then, if Brother Liu competes with him, will you lose?”

“Yup, I’m willing to accept my defeat.” Liu Mingxin smiled and said, “Previously, I was still planning to compete with him properly. However, it was just like a mouse trying to pull a turtle—it has nowhere to lay its hands on to be able to start pulling. He will do things in whatever he sees. Today he may be playing with films, tomorrow he may go to play games online. Then, the next day, he may be reading novels somewhere. He will just try something and then go on to try another thing. There’s nothing I can do about it, he runs away faster than a rabbit!”
