The elevator was no longer running so Ye Lingchen took the stairs five steps at a time and dashed upstairs in a flash.

If he really was powerless to do anything about that matter, he might just lament ruefully and refrain from getting involved. However, he certainly had that power, and although he could not control it 100%, the fact remained that he possessed that power. Therefore, he could not just ignore the predicament before him.

If he chose to ignore it, then what was the use of the Prodigy System? He would forever remain a coward.

Great power came with great responsibility.

“F*ck, when did I start enjoying meddling with other people’s affairs?”

Ye Lingchen cursed and continued his mad rush upstairs. There were 16 floors and he did not slow down at all halfway. It only took him two-and-a-half minutes.

A sea of fire!

A very violent sea of fire!

The red flames burned before Ye Lingchen’s eyes and the extremely high temperature immediately turned his face red. Soon, dense beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

The 16th floor was going up in flames, and in the end, he could only make a retreat to the 15th floor.

The child was on the 16th floor. He could not go up, and he certainly could not go through that sea of fire!

Ye Lingchen looked all around him and his expression eventually sank. ‘Motherf*cker, just risk it!’

He wrapped the wet towel, which he had prepared earlier, around his face to filter the air. He then walked to the window in the 15th-floor balcony. He leaned out first, then gritted his teeth before climbing to the outside!

Down below, the crowd was sent into a frenzy upon seeing him climbing.

“F*ck, man! Look, what’s that? It looks like a person!”

“The hell! It really is a person! Why are there still people inside?!”

“It can’t possibly be the person who just rushed in, right? That would be too fast!”

“What does he want to do? He’s not thinking of crawling from the outside, is he? This is crazy!”

…

Amidst the flurry of exclamations, Ye Lingchen’s entire body was already outside the window. He gripped on the window’s edges, and his whole body was lying flat on the walls of the tall building. 15 floors were almost as tall as a small hill and many did not dare to look down. Despite that, Ye Lingchen clung to the wall and moved little by little.

From the looks of the situation, he seemed to be attempting to save the trapped children using only his bare hands!

It was too shocking and too bold!

His courage was commendable, but his actions were not well-thought-out.

“Young man, please stop for a moment and ensure your own safety!” The fire chief immediately took the horn loudspeaker and shouted.

At the same time, many reporters caught wind of the news and hurried over. One by one, they pointed their cameras at the fire and took photographs. Cameramen were also in place and they made live news broadcasts on the spot.

Little Ya was an outdoor host. With her eloquent communication skills, she brought everyone sightseeing around Capital’s various attractions as well as doing mukbangs of Capital’s delicious food. As a result, she garnered quite a following.

She was doing a live stream around the area that day, and after hearing of the fire, she rushed to the scene as fast as she could.

Holding her mobile phone, she pointed the camera toward the scene of the fire and put on a solemn expression when providing live updates. “Gosh, what happened, why did it catch fire? The fire is now extremely strong and it’s on the verge of being out of control.”

Next, she recorded the firefighters and the onlookers who were all around her. She then said in a worrisome tone, “It’s so scary. I don’t know if there are any casualties.”

She immediately went up to the crowd to get a better idea of what was happening. The more she listened, the more shocked she became.

With the camera focused on the building, she zoomed in. “There are still two children trapped in the building! The situation is critical. God must protect them.”

Then, as soon as she turned the camera, she saw a figure was slowly moving along the building’s outer wall.

There were little, if any areas, on the external wall that could be used as support. Nevertheless, the figure was able to use the wall’s friction as well as some protrusions to get a firm grip.
