Not just the Beta

Ori has trained her whole life beside the future Alpha, Slade Southerland, and the other two of their unit, Palmer and Yuri. Now all four have turned eighteen, and Ori, the daughter of the current Beta, is determined to prove she can be a responsible and reliable Beta herself. After a night of celebrating, she hauls the drunk Slade back to his new suite, and the two fall into each other without either one fully remembering how it started. In the morning, Slade wakes alone on the floor, convinced he spent the night with some unknown she-wolf, though the only scent in the room is Ori's. Ori comes down to breakfast calm and silent, buries the memory, and drives him to Alpha College as ordered. Neither is willing to say it out loud, but things between them have changed for good, and Ori has more at stake than Slade can guess.
