The President is Being Shameless Again

“Yup. I’ve contacted a composer, and the lyrics will be out by tomorrow. I’ll find someone to record it for you beforehand, and you’ll learn from them. Will you be free next weekend? I’ll book a recording studio. Let’s go to record the song then,” Nan Jingheng said. “If it goes well, it can be recorded within a day.”

Wei Zilin thought about it before saying, “I can make it. What about you?”

He asked Xu Moyan this, and she nodded at him. “I have nothing to do on that weekend.”

As a result, they decided to go do the recordings on the weekend.

Recording the song went smoother than Xu Moyan had imagined. On Monday, Nan Jingheng very efficiently passed the lyrics and accompaniment demo to Wei Zilin, as well as another copy where the composer sang along with the song.

The composer was a man with a normal voice, but he sang perfectly in tune. Xu Moyan wore headphones and learned slowly by following along. She did this by learning it word by word, before eventually trying to sing the song without the original singer, instead singing directly with the accompaniment demo.

It was exactly like how Nan Jingheng described it. The tone was effortless to remember and carried a style that was commonly used in games. Moreover, it gave out an antiquity vibe.

After repeatedly practicing, she would only miss a few notes each time she sang it. The part where she had to sing along with Wei Zilin actually turned out to be the best part of the song because, since Wei Zilin was singing so well, it gave her the drive to do so as well.

Xu Moyan repeatedly practiced the few notes that she always sung inaccurately. However, she found that when she focused on a specific part, she could not help but mess up the other parts.

On Saturday, the two went to the recording studio together. Nan Jingheng also brought in a professional to provide Xu Moyan some extra guidance.

Although she was able to sing along with the original singer through the headphones this time around, she still made mistakes from time to time.

Every time she made a mistake, it was not so bad that she needed to sing everything once more from the beginning. However, singing the same sentence over and over again was tiresome and was irritating. This was especially so since this was Xu Moyan’s first time recording a song. She wanted to do well, or at least be able to sing the song correctly.

Initially, as she and Wei Zilin were a couple, there was no difficulty for the two to inject emotion into the song. However, because she kept messing up, her emotions were interrupted again and again. Thus, the feelings she initially poured into the recordings were repeatedly disrupted. This made it troublesome to try to build up again.
