However, Xu Moyan and Zheng Yuntong did not have any concerns about this. Everything they chose would be based on ensuring the well-being of the child. It would be outrageous if the child were to be uncomfortable due to the clothes they gifted him.

They even picked up some toys. These were not intended for the child to play with, as babies would probably spend the majority of their time sleeping at this age. It was just to serve as something uncustomary for the baby to look at after waking up.

When they arrive at Lin Chu’s room, they found her lying on her bed reading a book. She did not look any different from before she got pregnant, as she still appeared slender and delicate. Her skin was rosy and smooth from the healthy confinement meals she had been eating, and her complexion was great.

The baby was still sleeping nearby, so the two spoke at a lower volume.

Only Lin Chu and Aunt Yue were in the room at the time as Lin Chu said, “Beicheng’s the one that takes care of the child at night. However, the baby keeps waking up, and he gets quite loud. As such, Beicheng was terribly tormented by him, so I told him to get some sleep in another room.”

Xu Moyan noticed that the door to one of the rooms was shut tight. Yan Beicheng must be catching up on some sleep in there.

“Aunt Yue and I would take care of the baby during the day since it’s not very convenient for Aunt Yue to stay here at night.” Lin Chu explained.

Xu Moyan and Zheng Yuntong placed the gifts they brought on the table by the side, which Lin Chu immediately noticed. She then proceeded to somewhat scold them, “It’s enough that you are stopping by. Even if you wanted to buy something for the kid, something simple and appropriate would have been just fine. Why did you get something so expensive?”

“What if the item is not of good quality and causes discomfort to the child? In that case, i’d be better not to buy anything at all. Besides, we’re not buying something that is expected to last a lifetime; paying this amount doesn’t really strain our wallets that much.” Xu Moyan smiled as she and Zheng Yuntong moved one of chairs closer so that they could sit down by the bedside.

Zheng Yuntong was very curious about child birthing experience, so Lin Chu proceeded to tell her the whole process. This shocked Zheng Yuntong to the core. “The idea that I have to go through this as well gives me goosebumps.”

“You’ll only feel scared after hearing about it. In reality, when you’re giving birth, you won’t be overthinking. I didn’t care that much at the time. I only had one thought in mind, and that was to give birth to my child quickly. When I was experiencing the pain. I really thought that I’d probably never do this again. Also, I heard from Yu Zi that, while I was in the delivery room, Yan Beicheng’s face had gone pale as he waited outside. He said the same thing about never having another one, and even said that it’s fine if he doesn’t get a daughter. However, after I gave birth, it was truly as though I forgotten all the pain I had experienced. Looking at this tiny being just makes me want to give birth to another so that he’ll have a companion. You’ll only understand this feeling when the moment comes. I’m just afraid that Shen Zongyi might try to stop you. Don’t worry, you’ll probably ignore him even if he doesn’t let you have another.” Lin Chu turned her head and looked at the child lying beside her.

The tiny babe was restless. His small hands kept reaching out, so Lin Chu placed his hands back into the blanket and wrapped it tightly around his body.

Zheng Yuntong puffed out her cheeks and mumbled, “Nothing indicates that I’ve been successful, yet here you are talking about bearing a child with him. You and Moyan are one and the same.”

Xu Moyan had told Lin Chu about Zheng Yuntong and Shen Zongyi, so Lin Chu was very aware about their latest developments.

“Why do I have the feeling that you’ll marry Shen Zongyi?” Lin Chu smiled and shook her head. “Truly.”

“Again! You’re still talking about it!” Zheng Yuntong extended her hand and tried to cover Lin Chu’s mouth.

“Alright, alright. I’ll stop it, I’ll stop.” Lin Chu said hurriedly. Xu Moyan quickly reached over and blocked Zheng Yuntong from the side, afraid that the baby would wake up from all the ruckus.
