The President is Being Shameless Again

“How rotten-minded!” Xu Moyan took a bite of cucumber slice as she listened to Lin Chu’s story about Xu Jiaojiao’s behavior yesterday. She could not help but sneer. “That name really matches her personality, how spoiled.” (TN: “徐娇娇” or known as Xu Jiaojiao, the meaning of “娇” in Chinese is spoiled and pampered.)

“If she was sweet, I would’ve happily done a DNA test. Even if I won’t acknowledge Dai Huimin as my mother, she had nothing to do with that. I’m willing to have more sisters.” Lin Chu began to sneer. “I didn’t expect her to be so upfront with me. If I were to acknowledge her, I’m scared I’ll be leading a wolf into my house. Forget it, let’s not speak of her. We haven’t seen each other for a long time and lunchtime is way too short. Why don’t you come over to our place for a meal, since you’ve brought back ingredients for hotpot, let’s eat hotpot for dinner.”

Yan Beicheng was hotpot fanatic, he even opened up a hotpot restaurant just so that he could eat hotpot. Hence, the ingredients Xu Moyan had brought back was definitely up his alley.

Xu Moyan ecstatically agreed, yet she thought about Yan Beicheng’s face. She could not help but shiver. “Would Yan Beicheng agree to this?”

Lin Chu, “…”

“Why don’t you just come over to our place?” Zheng Yuntong suggested.

“Wait, I’ll give him a call and ask,” Lin Chu said as she dialed her phone. She got up and walked outside to avoid the loud noises in the hall.

Yan Beicheng’s background noise was noisy as well, he seemed to be in a restaurant.

Yan Beicheng thought that she had called because she was not at ease, and his heart was ecstatic. He just drank a spoonful of soup, and it gave him a further warm sensation.

“I did get myself a good meal,” Yan Beicheng said, and he originally had a clear and calm tone, yet unconsciously he added some coyness as he spoke out. He made Zuo Qiu that was sitting opposite him feel disgusted.

He originally wanted to get himself a piece of beef, but Yan Beicheng was so greasy that he changed the direction of his chopstick and got himself a piece of cucumber instead, to get rid of the grease.

Lin Chu then tried to prase her words correctly and continued, “Moyan just came back from her business trip, I haven’t seen her in so long—”

“You can’t stay with her! Not even for a night!” Yan Beicheng did not wait for her to finish talking, yet he immediately rejected it.

“…” Lin Chu then continued, “I’m not saying I’m staying with her. I just wanted to invite her and Yuntong over for a meal. She even brought back Chengdu’s specialty products and that hotpot base that you love so much.”

As long as she was not going to spend the night outside, Yan Beicheng had no further objections. Additionally, when compared with her staying out versus coming over for a meal, Yan Beicheng gladly agreed to it.

“I’ll give Ding Shang a call, and ask them to send over some pots as well as the ingredients,” Yan Beicheng said. There was already a hotpot restaurant available, so Lin Chu did not have to go through too much trouble.

It was awkward for Lin Chu to make this call, after all, Xu Moyan and Zheng Yuntong had no relations with Yan Beicheng. They also only met each other a couple of times, and Yan Beicheng had only seen Xu Moyan a few times that were also because of Lin Chu.

She did not think that Yan Beicheng would agree so quickly, and it made Lin Chu felt her affection raised up and did a victory pose without giving it further thought. She smacked her lips on the phone and said out loud, “Beicheng, thank you!”

Yan Beicheng was shocked and his gaze became silly as he sat on the chair, with his mouth slightly opened.

Zuo Qiu was watching from the opposite side. He especially wanted to take out his mobile phone at that moment to capture Yan Beicheng’s current silly expression, but he did not dare to.

Yan Beicheng’s ears went hot. Although Lin Chu’s action was through the phone, her voice was crisp, clear and still ringing in his ears. It was as if she had kissed her ears.

Yan Beicheng’s face turned red as well, and he had a huge grin on his face. “It’s not even a big deal!”

As long as she liked it, she could do whatever!

Zuo Qiu bowed his head as he chewed on cucumbers, and carefully glanced over at Yan Beicheng’s silly expression. He finally was unable to constrain himself and quickly took a photo of Yan Beicheng. Then, he opened up WeChat and sent it to Lin Chu.

Yan Beicheng recovered his composure, and once he hung up the phone he squinted his eyes at Zuo Qiu. “Phone.”
