Lin Chu’s face was burning, she felt really embarrassed as she lowered her eyes, not daring to look at him. She could hear his low laughter. It was like someone had lightly strummed the strings on a bass guitar or similar to that of a jade pearl rolling in his throat.

The hoarse, sexy, low laugh circled her ears and forehead, like the humid late afternoon wind blowing continuously at her. It was as if a feather lightly brushing itself against her heart.

Lin Chu’s earlobes felt like it was smoking from the heat as she heard Yan Beicheng’s laughter in his voice as he coaxed her, “Be a good girl and open up, Ningbai is still at the side looking at us.”

She was not sure if it was all her imagination, Lin Chu felt that his voice was full of adoration. She lifted her head and immediately locked eyes with Yan Beicheng’s faintly smiling eyes. Her face reddened as her eyes averted to the side of the table and saw Yan Ningbai holding a piece of rib in one of his hand while watching them with great interest.

Lin Chu made a decision and opened her mouth, thinking Yan Beicheng only wanted to check her condition, only to hear him say, “It’s not that bad, the fishbone is not stuck that deep.”

With that, his long fingers reached into her throat and she tasted the saltiness of his skin.

Next, Yan Beicheng pinched out a fish bone and threw it on a paper napkin.

He then stood up and pulled Yan Ningbai along, saying, “I’m taking you to have a pee.”

“I don’t want to pee!” Yan Ningbai was still holding on to the ribs, his mouth was extremely oily.

Yan Beicheng looked at him and casually said, “Just hold on to it and you’ll want to.”

Yan Ningbai, “…”

Yan Beicheng’s long fingers poked at Yan Ningbai’s protruding little stomach and suddenly gave a long whistle at him.

“… Big Nephew, this is not very kind of you!” Yan Ningbai immediately covered his stomach.

“…” Yan Beicheng’s eyebrows lifted tauntingly.

“… Your whistling is making me want to pee. Quick, I can’t hold it in much longer.” Yan Ningbai said as he flattened his lips.

Yan Beicheng, “…”

In the end, the little boy, Yan Ningbai, was whisked away to the restroom by Yan Beicheng.

At the corridor towards the restroom, Yan Beicheng rubbed Yan Ningbai’s soft, slightly chestnut-colored short hair and told him, “You were too direct, it frightened your niece-in-law. Next time, be a little more euphemistic.”

…

Lin Chu was covering her face at her seat, too embarrassed to see anyone. Yan Beicheng had used his bare hands to take out the fishbone, how does he not find it filthy?

“Lin Chu.” A familiar voice was heard above her, surprising Lin Chu for a moment.

She lifted her face from her hands and saw Lin Yuwen standing next to the table with Cheng Ziming’s parents.

Lin Yuwen was looking down at her coldly. Cheng Ziming’s mother, Wang Jinglin, was looking at her apologetically and uneasily. She gave Lin Chu an apologetic smile from behind Lin Yuwen.

She could ignore Lin Yuwen but Cheng Jindong and Wang Jinglin were elders, so Lin Chu politely stood up.

“Miss Lin, Uncle, Auntie,” Lin Chu greeted. She made no attempt to pretend not to know Cheng Ziming’s parents.

Both Lin Yuwen and her mum were aware of her relationship with Cheng Ziming. One could say that Lin Yuwen had snatched him away in broad daylight.
