Beast Taming Patrol

Chapter 96: Chapter 40 Eagle Strike in the Vast Sky (Seeking Investment and Follow-up Reads)

```
The open space in the restaurant could only accommodate one battle, so as soon as Lin Su issued his challenge, the Qi-named restaurant owner quickly had the Beast Tamers of the other two pet beasts withdraw their creatures and stand aside, leaving only the Green Feathered Eagle and its Beast Tamer in the middle of the arena.
Looking at the middle-aged Beast Tamer with a face marked by the vicissitudes of life, Lin Su fell into thought, ”Uncle, what level of Beast Tamer are you?”
”Master-level,” the middle-aged Beast Tamer replied cheerfully.
Lin Su: ”...”
A Master-level and you own a juvenile stage pet beast???
Although the level of the Beast Taming Space doesnʼt provide any strength enhancement to the pet beast, having a seasoned Master-level Beast Tamer command a juvenile stage pet would undoubtedly make this challenge even more challenging.
This is too much to handle.
”Alright then.” Having already challenged him, Lin Su naturally wouldnʼt back down at this point. He rubbed Qiuqiuʼs slightly bloated belly, a hint of worry on his face, ”Qiuqiu, will having just eaten affect your performance?”
”Meow!” (No, it wonʼt!)
Seeing that Qiuqiu seemed no different than usual, Lin Su finally relaxed slightly and took Qiuqiu back into the Beast Taming Space.
The middle-aged Beast Tamer across from him also happily withdrew the Green Feathered Eagle.
Looking at his light blue Summoning Array, Lin Su let out a sigh.
A fourth-tier Beast Taming Space, not bad at all.
Both competitors soon stood ready within their respective areas of the field at the refereeʼs signal.
The diners in the restaurant all cast their gazes towards the spectacle, and although very few Beast Tamers ever won such challenges, witnessing such a one-on-one pet beast battle was still quite entertaining.
Zhang Xuyang looked at the Beast Tamer of the Green Feathered Eagle and shook his head slightly, ”This just got harder. That Beast Tamer of the Green Feathered Eagle is actually at the Master-level. Given his age, he must have plenty of experience commanding pet beasts in battle, which means the Green Feathered Eagle will be able to display even greater fighting strength.”
The last time he came to challenge, it was against an elite stage pet beast, and he didnʼt know much about the juvenile stage; it was unexpected that although the juvenile stage pet beast was not high in breed rank, its Beast Tamer was far from ordinary.
This made Zhang Xuyang, who was already pessimistic about the young manʼs chances, feel even less hopeful about the match.
Sitting opposite Zhang Xuyang, Zhang Qingqing clenched her small fists nervously, looking at the Beast Tamer who was about to start the battle.
Youʼve got to win, you just have to.
How could someone so handsome lose?
She silently chanted in her heart.
...
As the referee counted down, both Beast Tamers simultaneously summoned their pet beasts, with light rapidly intertwining at their feet, stirring up waves of Energy Storms. However, the storm triggered by the light blue Summoning Array was clearly more turbulent. Merely in terms of momentum, Lin Su was at a disadvantage compared to the opposing Master-level Beast Tamer.
Lin Suʼs expression remained calm, as all the teaching skills that wind-based pet beasts could master flashed through his mind.
Since he didnʼt know his opponentʼs abilities, he needed to prepare contingency plans for various situations.
Soon, he had a strategy in mind.
”Snow Trace Sprint, get in close quickly. The enemyʼs attack range is longer than yours, try not to let the enemy soar too high!” he commanded Qiuqiu through Telepathy. Instantly, Qiuqiu transformed into a white streak, crushing frost flowers and charging towards the Green Feathered Eagle that had just emerged.
This single move elicited low exclamations of admiration from many sharp-eyed Beast Tamers in the dining area.
”Such high proficiency in skills,” Zhang Xuyangʼs face showed astonishment. ”Its Snow Blow must be at level II by now, hence it can create an icy snow environment right under its paws. That proficiency in Snow Trace isnʼt just as simple as early level II, it feels like itʼs nearly level III even.”
”Does that mean there is hope of winning?” Zhang Qingqing asked anxiously.
”Letʼs keep watching,” Zhang Xuyang didnʼt answer directly, his certainty waning for a moment.
