Beast Taming Patrol

Chapter 27: Chapter 10 A New Path to Wealth (Seeking Investment and Followers)_2

This process involved no luck whatsoever; there was no such instance where a teaching skill suddenly came to mind in a stroke of inspiration. It had to be built on a foundation of extensive theoretical knowledge.

However, evolution routes were different.

The evolution of alien beasts held infinite possibilities, and sometimes, by sheer chance, like a blind cat stumbling upon a dead mouse, there might be the potential to discover an entirely new evolution route. The element of chance and randomness was much greater.

So, as a newly contracted Beast Tamer, it was safer for Lin Su to profit from evolution routes than from teaching skills, as it would draw fewer questions.

To monetize an evolution route, as far as Lin Su knew, there were two methods.

The first was to register the evolution route as an exclusive evolution route.

Similar to patents before the Cataclysm on Blue Star, this was a measure to protect intellectual property. Once registered and authenticated, if others wanted to view the details of this evolution route, they had to pay a certain amount in alliance currency. After a deduction, these funds would become income for Lin Su.

If someone disclosed the exclusive evolution route to others without permission, Lin Su could also seek claims and enforce his rights through the allianceʼs relevant laws.

The second method was to directly submit the evolution route to the Beast Tamers Association, which would validate it and then make it public throughout the entire alliance.

By doing so, Lin Su couldnʼt earn alliance currency but could gain a substantial amount of Alliance Contribution Points.

The battle between humans and alien beasts never ceased, and the Yan Huang Safety Alliance was always in a state of wartime.

Alliance Contribution Points were the allianceʼs rewards for those who had served meritoriously.

They could be obtained through fighting alien beasts or via new research that aided Beast Tamers.

They were not alliance currency, yet within the alliance, they could be exchanged for anything that alliance currency could buy, in addition to some items that alliance currency couldnʼt purchase.

If Lin Su chose the former option, his overall earnings would certainly be higher than if he chose the latter. After all, once an evolution route was registered as exclusive, the earnings would flow in a steady stream. As long as someone was interested in your evolution route, you could continue to profit from it for a long time to come.

If Lin Su chose the latter option, it would be a one-time deal, with no subsequent earnings; the only advantage would be that he would gain Alliance Contribution Points instead of alliance currency.

Thus, Lin Su chose the latter option.

On one hand, he had already decided to offer an evolution route with a smaller improvement span to avoid unnecessary attention. Such an evolution route naturally had less appeal for Beast Tamers to pay to view, meaning the income heʼd receive from the first method would not be as high as imagined.

On the other hand, what Lin Su needed wasnʼt actually money, but resources to support his and Qiuqiuʼs training. Contribution points could be used to exchange for these resources at a discount, plus, he could exchange for some resources he couldnʼt buy with alliance currency, which made them much more useful.

After weighing his options, Lin Su finally made a decision.

During his contemplation, he had unknowingly arrived at the entrance of the welfare house.

After returning to his room, Lin Su closed his eyes to sense Qiuqiuʼs condition.

Qiuqiuʼs fatigue had already significantly recovered, showing signs of slowly awakening from deep sleep.

This slightly eased his mind.

Tonight, after going to the Divine Martial World, Lin Su would proceed with Qiuqiu according to their previously planned Deceive Heaven and Cross the Sea strategy. So at this moment, he had to ensure Qiuqiu was well-rested in advance to deal with any unexpected situations that might arise.

Without waking Qiuqiu, Lin Su sat on the bed, turned on his communicator, and logged into the Beast Tamers Association platform using his official Beast Tamer status. It didnʼt take long to find the entry for submitting evolution routes.

The rise of Blue Star Beast Tamers had only been a little over a hundred years; with the emergence of the Alien Beast Ban, the evolution routes for lower-ranked species became particularly important.
