Huang Yize was relatively satisfied when he heard Yun Bilu’s reply, so he explained, “No one dares to go near him.”

“Why?”

“Women or people who get near him with ill intentions will disappear without a trace!”

Yun Bilu hugged herself. “Don’t try to scare me. That’s terrifying.”

“That’s just a rumor. In fact, many people fear the chief minister. He is a demigod who everyone worships, but he’s also an existence people cannot get close to.”

“Oh, I see. He’s so handsome. I wonder how the queen looks like.”

“The competition has begun. Pay attention, don’t get distracted.”

“Fine, fine. But I still have to say, although he looks good, I don’t think he looks as good as you. From the moment we came in, many people have been staring at you. I’m actually annoyed about it.” That was how Yun Bilu truly felt.

Huang Yize’s cold and indifferent expression softened. He looked at Yun Bilu in astonishment. “Is that why you have been holding onto my elbow ever since we entered?”

“Of course. I have to stake my claim so that the rest will mind their boundaries.”

Huang Yize couldn’t help but chuckle. Instead of tapping her on the head, he caressed her short hair. “Pay attention.”

The first competitors to enter was a seventeen to eighteen years old teenager and a man in his twenties.

The teenager was nimble and flexible, while the man had strong hits.

Yun Bilu looked attentively at the moves they used.

“Argh… Thump…” The man’s leg techniques were powerful. A single kick had the might of a tiger. A glance at it was enough to tell that he was a person with strong foundations.

“Hahh…” The teenager was nimble. With a back flip, he avoided the kick before flipping forward and slicing down with his arms towards the man.

In the immensely huge fighting field, the two continued to exchange hands. Every technique was sharp beyond measure, carrying with it murderous intent.

They were using their all to defeat the other.

Everyone was focused on the fight and excitement in the arena was impalpably high.

“The teenager is so strong. He’s very fast and flexible, avoiding many of the attacks.”

“As strong as he may be, there will definitely be gaps. I think Lin Zhi will be the winner. He has a strong foundation, and his strength runs deep. Every move of his is like lightning waiting to strike the teenager.”

Yun Bilu listened to the speculations of the people around her as she stared unblinkingly at the stage. It was eye-opening for her to see the first pair to be this strong.

She tugged the sleeve of Huang Yize and asked, “Who do you think will win out of the two?”

“Observe on your own. No matter who wins, look at their form and techniques and learn from them.”

“Okay.”

But Huang Yize still gave his judgement. “The twenty plus years old man will win.”

“Why?”

“He has a strong foundation.”

In the end, just like what Huang Yize predicted, the twenty plus year old man, Lin Zhi won.

The second match was between a man and a woman. Once they were on the stage, the woman immediately prepared her stance but remained unmoving otherwise. The man shaped his hands into that of the claw of an eagle and with a bounce, he ran forward with a quick and strong attack.

Looking at how the woman looked so fragile, Yun Bilu couldn’t help but worry for her.

“Ah…” The audience gasped in anxiousness as well.

Unexpectedly, despite the man’s might, the woman settled him within two to three moves.

“How incredible!”

“This is the skill of using flexibility to defeat strength.”

The match between the two made Yun Bilu feel that no matter how strong the guy was, he couldn’t land a strike on the girl. His strikes were dissipated easily like a cloud.
