It was a peak period of sales for all major shopping malls. Many ladies from affluent households frequented the malls, so the sales went up as well.

“This dress is very nice. I think Young Master Han will like this.”

“I heard Young Master Han likes the cute type. I’m cute, you know.”

“Young Master Han likes girls like me with elegance and style.”

“He likes girls like me.”

“No, he likes girls like me…”

Many ladies gathered together, as though they were in a pageant. They even started fighting because they disagreed with each others’ opinions.

Tian Xiaojuan and Tan Xinxuan saw them fighting when they were shopping at the mall. Both of them gaped and stared at each other speechlessly.

“Wow. Things like this actually happen?”

“Yeah, people really fight over this?”

“Uh-huh. For someone like Young Master Han who doesn’t even know them?”

Tian Xiaojuan and Tan Xinxuan shrugged their shoulders and ended up taking photos of this scene.

After Tian Xiaojuan walked out of the mall, she began to laugh out loud as she said, “If we upload this photo online, it will surely go viral.”

“Say, are these women naive or stupid? They can even fight over Young Master Han when buying clothes? He is not even there, so what’s the point?” Tan Xinxuan could not understand it even as she looked at the photo.

Tian Xiaojuan rubbed her face gently as she said, “You still don’t understand. Wherever there are women, there will be fights. Anyway, it gives some entertainment to our boring lives. Let’s go and find a place where we can upload this photo online. We will have a good show to watch later when we scroll through the comments.”

“That’s true. We won’t be bored after this.”

…

Not long after Tian Xiaojuan and Tan Xinxuan uploaded the photo, people started sharing and reposting the photo and commenting on it. Within an hour, the comments were streaming in incessantly.

When the people from the Han family saw this trending topic online, they reported it respectfully to Han Mubai.

Han Mubai merely glanced at it before he said impassively, “No need to bother about it.”

“But Young Master Han, you’re single now. Even if you don’t do anything, the citizens will still talk about you.”

Han Mubai put down the pen in his hand and looked up at his assistant. He said calmly, “You mean, I should do something? Or you mean I should find a new fianceé?”

“I’m sorry, Young Master Han. I was wrong.”

Han Mubai interlocked his hands as he said in deep thought, “It’s good that you shared your opinion. However, the Yuan family has only just collapsed. If I have any scandals or gossip about my love life now, it will not be good for the image of the Han family.”

“But Young Master Han, you will need to have a fianceé eventually. If not, those women will also become a cause of disturbance if this drags on.”

Han Mubai understood the rationale behind his assistant’s words.

“Young Master Han, what I mean is that you should think about this or have a goal in mind for this. It’s better than having it arranged by the family.”

The assistant thought that if the Han family arranged a marriage for Young Master Han, the lady might not be someone Young Master Han personally liked. If Young Master Han could choose someone himself, at least he would have a love that he wanted for himself.

Han Mubai naturally understood the meaning in his assistant’s words. He took up his pen and thought deeply for a moment. He could not help but think of someone in his mind.

That woman seems pretty smart and cute.

When he thought of her, Han Mubai’s lips curved up slightly, but it was only for a moment. He composed himself and said calmly, “I have no thoughts about it for now. It’s fine if the family arranges someone for me.”

Seeing the impassive expression on Young Master Han’s face, the assistant knew that he did not have anyone in mind. It would be useless even if he felt anxious for his boss.

…

As a lot of things had happened within the past six months, there was a huge shortage of officials, so many officials were promoted from the other cities into the capital’s governing body.

One of them was Zhou Pingyu from Zi Bei City. He was directly promoted to be the Director of the Publicity Department in the capital and put in charge of assigning officials to various cities.
