Xie Limo placed the dishes in the microwave and turned around. With a tug on Yun Bixue’s arms, he pulled her into an embrace.

Xie Limo said lovingly, “Look at you. Why are you so emotional again?”

Yun Bixue continued wrapping her arms around Xie Limo’s waist and leaned into his embrace. Taking in his unique scent, she felt immensely satisfied.

“My heart aches for you. I want to be by your side every second.” Her feelings were exceptionally strong this time—she just wanted to be by his side always.

Hearing her statement, affection flashed across Xie Limo’s magnificent eyes. He knew that his return from Gui County must have cast some shadow in her heart in some way.

“Isn’t it New Year soon? It will be vacation even for those working, so if nothing goes wrong, we will spend every day together, okay? When we were in Ning An City, weren’t you okay even when I didn’t come back in the afternoon?”

“That’s different. We are in the imperial capital now.” And she only had him now.

Xie Limo hugged Yun Bixue tightly. He knew. It was rare for his wife to throw such tantrums, so something must have affected her.

He adored her, which was why he would patiently and gently stroke her back, and kiss the crown of her hair to comfort her.

“Don’t worry. We will always be together. Even if you don’t eat at home, I’ll be at home. Be good now. I won’t run away, so rest assured, okay? Furthermore, it’s not like I can’t cook for myself. Haven’t I always been eating well?” He figured that it would be better to not wait like this in the future. Seeing that he has yet to eat had caused his wife’s heart to ache for him.

She was always so sensitive to his needs, but the way she expressed it was different from others.

With a ‘beep’ from the microwave, Yun Bixue shook out from her trance before getting out of Xie Limo’s embrace. She flushed in embarrassment and said, “The dishes are done reheating.”

She took out the dishes from the microwave and clapped her face. Aiya, she was like a kid. How embarrassing.

But at that moment, she really wanted to stick to him, to lean on him so that she would feel at ease.

Xie Limo figured that Yun Bixue should have eaten quite a lot earlier, so he did not let her eat much. Instead, he got her a bowl of porridge and some vegetables.

Although the life that the two spent seemed uninteresting, it was incredibly heartwarming. In a city that was always so vibrant and busy, their home was the only bay for their hearts to shore on.

Noel Harlem University, Country E

New Year was coming soon. The examinations have ended, and it was winter vacation, so the students went back home one after another.

In the female dormitory, there weren’t many people left. In Yun Bilu’s room, her three friends have also left for home.

When they left, they were still shocked as to why Yun Bilu did not pack her things. She answered, saying that she would be settling some matters before she went home.

In fact, the only person she was waiting for was Huang Yize. She remembered that he said that he would explain himself to her before the vacation.

She waited for several days. The number of people in the university decreased day by day, but she continued to wait for Huang Yize.

She would believe in him stubbornly. She trusted his words and trusted that he would keep them.

The chilling wind blew on, rustling the dead leaves on the ground. There was hardly a single soul in the school, but Yun Bilu continued to walk to and fro from the study blocks to her dormitory.

Yun Bilu was still keenly waiting for Huang Yize. Perhaps if she turned around, she would be able to see him.

She would never grow tired of walking on this familiar path because this was where they held hands in the past.
