Xie Limo shuddered upon hearing Yun Bixue’s words. A chime ran through his mind as his heart roared.

He could not calm the roaring waves in his heart no matter what.

He was unsure of his own thoughts, so much so that he did not dare to look at Yun Bixue’s expression. Did she look serious and eager?

Also, more than anything, he did not know how to explain to Yun Bixue. It was the first time Xie Limo’s heart was in a mess because he did not know how to deal with it.

Yun Bixue thought that Xie Limo did not hear her, so she tugged his arm and stretched her arms out to turn his face to face her.

She looked into his magnificent eyes and enunciated each word seriously, “Limo, I want to have a child with you.”

Yun Bixue’s seriousness was conveyed to Xie Limo from her eyes, causing the waves in his heart to rampage further.

When Yun Bixue was stubborn, she was really stubborn. Since she said it, she wanted to convey it clearly.

Without backing down, she looked at Xie Limo. She wanted to let him see her expression, her gaze, and her face clearly.

The turmoil in Xie Limo’s heart stirred even further. He had thousands of thoughts, and yet he still could not find the words to say them.

Finally, Xie Limo sighed softly. “Bixue, you like children a lot?”

“Yes, I love the child I would have with you.” As she spoke, Yun Bixue looked at the children on the plaza. They were so cute and joyful. If just looking at other people’s children made her happy, what more if it was her child with Limo? She would definitely adore their child more.

Xie Limo wrapped an arm around Yun Bixue’s shoulders before steering her out.

The two of them listened to the music on the plaza before Xie Limo spoke up. “Xue, let’s take things naturally, okay?”

Yun Bixue knew that her husband would only address her this affectionately in special moments, but somehow it made her a little sad.

“Limo, do you not like children? Or are you unwilling?”

That was what Yun Bixue felt. They had been together for more than a year, but they have yet to have a child.

She did not think much about it in the past and simply considered having children as fate, but looking at Xie Limo’s expression and answer, she could not help but think more.

Yun Bixue’s grip on Xie Limo’s hand loosened bit by bit. She felt miserable, and it suddenly felt hard to breathe.

Looking at Yun Bixue’s gaze, which was clouding over, Xie Limo panicked and immediately pulled Yun Bixue into a tight embrace.

But no matter how hard he hugged, she felt distant. He hated that he could not meld her into himself.

Yun Bixue did not say anything as her arms hung limply by her sides.

She could not understand. If someone loves you, why wouldn’t he want a child? Even if he did not want one, he could give an explanation. Why would he just say to take things naturally?

She was not a fool, nor did she want to be treated as one. She was more afraid of despair.

She thought about the times she spent with Xie Limo in the past. She understood that he cared for her, so why was it that he was so troubled over this topic?

Xie Limo hugged Yun Bixue tightly. “Xue, believe me. I do like children, especially one with you. You know how much I care.”

“Then, why?” Other than that, she did not know what else to say.

Xie Limo embraced her so tightly that Yun Bixue’s waist was starting to hurt. He had a feeling that if he were to loosen it, she would disappear with the wind.

“Xue, you know my feelings for you, right?”

“Yeah.”

Xie Limo could feel that Yun Bixue’s heart was no longer in it. He used both his hands to grab her shoulders. “It’s not that I don’t want a child. Do you understand?”
