Yun Bilu observed Bai Yaoyao’s face carefully.

After hearing Yun Bilu’s words, Bai Yaoyao ‘s hand tightened her grip on the pen. Her grip was so tight that her knuckles started turning white. Her expression stiffened, and her gaze turned cold and lonely. Finally, a gentle light flashed across her eyes, just like the warm rays of the sun.

Yun Bilu started becoming anxious when Bai Yaoyao did not respond for a long time. She couldn’t help but ask, “Elder Sister Yaoyao, please tell me. What do you think about it?”

“Bilu, you’re still young. Even if I tried to explain to you, you wouldn’t understand.”

Yun Bilu replied anxiously, “Elder Sister Yaoyao, I’m not a child anymore. Don’t treat me like one. I may be your younger sister, but I’m your friend and buddy too. I know a lot too!”

Bai Yaoyao sighed. “Bilu, frankly speaking, it’s hard for me to forget all my feelings for him, but I’m so tired. I know that it’s impossible between the two of us, but I’d be lying if I were to say that I didn’t look forward to something happening. He hurt me time after time, making it harder for me to love. This time, he chose someone else and abandoned me at the same time. I’ve thought through it. No matter how hard it is, I want to start over.”

Yun Bilu nodded. “Elder Sister Yaoyao, it’s good to hear that you can think in this way.”

Bai Yaoyao’s lips curled up into a self-mocking smile. “Don’t you think that I was stupid? It’s been so many years, and I only want to start anew after he chased me away.”

Yun Bilu shook her head and said firmly, “Elder Sister Yaoyao, you’re not stupid. You’re just kind and softhearted. Those people who call you stupid are the stupid ones.”

Bai Yaoyao sucked in a deep breath and said in a soft voice, “Only you would comfort me in this way. I’ve thought things through. I should’ve walked away sooner after being trapped for so many years. Now, I just wish to find someone who is kind and would cherish me. We will begin with a meeting and end only when we’re old, never abandoning each other.”

“Elder Sister Yaoyao, do whatever makes you happy. I’ll definitely support you.”

After gaining strength from Yun Bilu’s encouragement, Bai Yaoyao smiled. “When you told me that he’s a soldier, I was actually surprised. If we really got together, I can cut off any thoughts I have about that man. However, with my heart still holding on to someone else, I think I’m being unfair to him…”

Seeing that Bai Yaoyao was going to continue to explain herself, Yun Bilu cut in. “Elder Sister Yaoyao, don’t say that. Stop trying to put yourself down. You’re a great catch, so there will definitely be someone who will understand your greatness and cherish you. Anyway, we have many talented guys here. You can just take your pick.”

No matter how sad Bai Yaoyao was, Yun Bilu could always cheer her up. “Okay. I will wait for your arrangements and heed your advice.”

Yun Bilu chuckled. “In other words, this means that you’re okay with him even if he’s a soldier?”

“Yes.”

“No take backs?”

Bai Yaoyao nodded. “If we’re both compatible with each other, I will not take back my words.”

Hearing Bai Yaoyao’s answer, Yun Bilu smiled and gave her a high-five. “Then it’s decided! I’ll tell Huang Yize about it. You’ll meet him tonight. Elder Sister Yaoyao, you have to prepare a little too, so you can show your best self tonight. The soldier is pretty handsome, but Huang Yize didn’t allow me to take a longer look. Hehe. If he becomes your boyfriend, you can show him to me, okay? Huang Yize won’t be able to do anything by then…”

After gushing about Bai Yaoyao’s next prospect, Yun Bilu ran down excitedly.

Looking at Yun Bilu’s departing figure, Bai Yaoyao took in a deep breath and turned around to look out the window. She smiled, looking forward to this new life that she was about to face. Yes, she will definitely make it out of this.
