Chapter 1060: Where Is Her Consciousness?

Bai Shao gently stroked Bai Yueshuang’s head. “Yueshuang, Miss Xiao studies both mental illness and psychology. I’ve heard she frequently visits the hospital to treat such conditions. Be obedient; Daddy will take you to the hospital later.”

Bai Yueshuang reacted vehemently. “I’m not sick!”

Gu Jin added calmly, “Patients with psychiatric issues often deny their condition.”

The reputation of Gu Jin as the Godly Doctor was well known.

Bai Shao’s gaze grew more serious at Gu Jin’s words, making Bai Yueshuang shiver.

Bai Yueshuang glared at Gu Yang and stormed off.

Bai Shao sighed and reassured Gu Yang that he would ensure Bai Yueshuang did not offend her again before leaving as well.

Once the Bai father and daughter had gone, Gu Yang maintained her calm smile.

Gu Jin observed, “It seems the issue isn’t with the Bai family but with Bai Yueshuang.”

Gu Yang nodded thoughtfully. “Sister, I find Bai Yueshuang quite suspicious. For instance, why did she hide her illness and choose a piano major at the music academy? How did she become proficient in piano?”

She continued, “Logically, even if Bai Yueshuang had learned piano before she was seven, she wouldn’t have been very skilled at such a young age. Given that she was in the orphanage from ages seven to fourteen, it seems unlikely she would have had the opportunity to practice extensively.”

“Wuyang knew the piano, but after Bai Yueshuang returned to her body, she only retained the memories of things Wuyang personally experienced. She didn’t acquire Wuyang’s skills.”

“For example, she didn’t know how to make perfume. Based on my own experience, while I have the memories of the original body, I couldn’t directly inherit its skills.”

“Moreover, Bai Yueshuang was in a vegetative state from ages fourteen to nineteen, which makes learning the piano during that time impossible.”

“In other words, Bai Yueshuang’s piano skills should be limited to what she could have learned before age seven. Even with short-term tutoring, she wouldn’t be able to reach a level comparable to mine.”

“Yet, in the hospital, she seemed eager to showcase her piano skills to prove she was Wuyang. This suggests her current skills are far beyond what a seven-year-old could have.”

Gu Jin’s expression grew more serious. “Yangyang, are you suggesting that the current Bai Yueshuang isn’t the real Bai Yueshuang?”

Gu Yang shook her head. “No, she is definitely Bai Yueshuang. Her relationship with Bai Shao is genuine, and her behavior towards the Bai family is not that of an outsider.”

“However, it’s clear that the current Bai Yueshuang is not merely the seven-year-old version. Her mentality alone indicates she’s more than just a child.”

Gu Jin was left feeling increasingly confused by the revelations.

“That body belonged to Bai Yueshuang when she was seven. From ages seven to fourteen, it was occupied by Wuyang. From fourteen until now, it has been Bai Yueshuang again. In other words, Bai Yueshuang’s consciousness has been present throughout. So, when Wuyang occupied her body, where was Bai Yueshuang’s consciousness?”

Gu Yang, reflecting on Bai Yueshuang’s various abnormalities today, felt a sinking sensation in her heart. She suddenly had a troubling thought. “If my consciousness once resided in her body as Wuyang, could the reverse also be true?”

Gu Yang was concerned that Bai Yueshuang might one day find herself in her body.

If that were to happen, with Bai Yueshuang’s personality, she would likely pose a threat to those around her.

Seeing Gu Yang’s concern, Gu Jin gently rubbed her head. “It definitely won’t happen in the future. We won’t let it occur under our watch.”

Gu Yang nodded, trusting in Big Shot Sister and Little Blood Warehouse. Still…

Gu Yang said softly, “This situation might not just be a future concern.”

It’s also possible it has already happened in the past.

“Sister, do you remember the Gu Yang who threw himself down the stairs to deceive you?”
