Gu Yang knew the plot of the novel. She wasn’t surprised that Xu Xuanyan couldn’t wait to take suicidal actions, but she was glad that the cannon fodder team didn’t follow suit.

In the original book, as soon as Gu Jin’s full marks in Mathematics came to light, Xu Xuanyan took the lead in questioning her older sister for cheating. The original owner of the body defended Gu Jin, but in fact, she was indirectly accusing her of cheating.

At this moment, Gu Jin asked the class to give her any questions and she did them on the spot. After reading the question quickly in front of everyone, she came up with the answer.

In the end, Gu Jin proved her innocence and slapped Xu Xuanyan and her pretentious sister in the face.

In the original book, the original Gu Yang had even pulled a ruse by specially finding a question online that exceeded the syllabus. However, Big Sister still came up with the answer at a glance and slapped her in the face.

Gu Yang felt great when she read the book, but now that she was living it, she felt that it was a little inappropriate.

Why should Big Sister spend so much effort to prove her innocence just because others questioned her?

It was easy enough to slander someone, but it was much harder to undo the damage.

Just as Xu Xuanyan and the others were mocking Gu Jin and Gu Jin’s eyes were filled with frustration, Gu Yang stood up and stood beside Gu Jin. She clapped her hands. “Everyone, quiet down.”

Lu Mao led his two lackeys, Zhang Shan and Li Shi, to make a loudspeaker gesture with their hands and shouted, “Everyone, quieten down!”

The three of them shouted at the same time. Their voices were loud, and the noisy classroom quickly quietened down.

Gu Yang gave Lu Mao and the others a thumbs up from behind, then looked at Xu Xuanyan, her eyes clear and sharp. “Xu Xuanyan, you said that my big sister cheated. Do you have any evidence?”

Xu Xuanyan was stunned for a moment. “Evidence? Didn’t I already tell you?

How can she finish the test paper in half an hour…’

Gu Yang chuckled and walked out of her seat to look at her. “That’s just your guess. Our country’s criminal procedure law stipulates that material that can be used to prove the facts of the case is evidence.

“Evidence includes physical evidence, documentary evidence, witness testimony, victim statements, the defendant’s confession and defense, expert opinions, inspection, examination, identifications, transcripts of investigations, investigation experiments, audio-visual information and electronic data, and so on. Evidence must be verified to be true before it can be used as a basis for determining the case.

“Which one can you produce now?”

Xu Xuanyan was stunned for a moment, but she quickly reacted and sneered. “Gu Yang, are you crazy? I didn’t say that I wanted to sue Gu Jin. I was just stating my doubts. What evidence do I need? I just suspect that Gu Jin cheated, unless she can prove that she didn’t cheat!”

Gu Yang’s expression didn’t change. “Haven’t you heard about innocence until proven guilty? Since it’s just a suspicion and there’s no evidence, my big sister didn’t cheat.

“You’re the one who doubts it. Even if someone has to prove it, it should be you and not my big sister! If you continue to spread rumors that my sister cheated, it will be considered slander.”

The people in Class 1 who originally agreed with Xu Xuanyan gradually stopped talking when they saw Gu Yang’s serious attitude.

They were not ignorant of the law and knew that it was illegal to spread rumors and slander. The Gu family also had the financial resources to take them seriously.

Xu Xuanyan was speechless. She glared at Gu Jin and said angrily to Gu Yang,

“Gu Yang, just you wait. I’ll find evidence!”

Gu Yang snorted. Big Shot was innocent. What evidence could she possibly find?

Gu Jin looked at Gu Yang, and the impatience in her cold eyes gradually dissipated.

On the podium, Wang Anbang looked at the quiet classroom and heaved a sigh of relief. He took the report card and glanced at Xu Xuanyan. With a serious expression, he said, “First High School has always been fair and just. We have zero tolerance for cheating. Therefore, since we dare to announce that Gu Jin scored full marks, we have naturally confirmed that she did not cheat..”
