Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Having noticed Jiangxia’s forces had ventured too deep, Lu Yang led the East Ridge men to the easternmost flank. Seeing the encirclement from the north and south, he signaled his men to escape first while he stayed behind to cover their retreat.

Whoosh......

A Big Saber suddenly attacked from behind, causing Lu Yang to raise his eyebrows and swiftly spin his right hand behind to block with his sword.

Clang...

”Held back?”

In the instant the saber clashed with his sword, Lu Yang noticed the assailant held back at the last moment. Puzzled, as he was about to turn around, a paper ball flew from behind into his hand.

Lu Yang gripped the paper ball, discreetly continuing his retreat to the east.

Yan Xin’s encirclement ultimately ended in failure.

Though the Seven Towns’ reinforcements seemed dispersed, the success of this surprise attack lied precisely in their lack of cohesion.

The over eight hundred Jiangxia troops, though fierce, remained under Jiang Yuanlong’s command and hadn’t lost all sense of reason, continuously maintaining their depth control.

The reinforcements from the Seven Towns, lacking the will to fight, left an escape route as soon as they charged in with Jiang Yuanlong, never allowing Dajue Temple a chance to surround them.

Thus, as soon as Jiang Yuanlong called for withdrawal, the Seven Towns men immediately opened a path, allowing the Cold Resistance Level from Jiangxia Town to retreat eastward without much resistance.

”Ahhhhh, you Nine Towns scoundrels! Jiang Yuanlong, I will kill you!”

Only the ground was left covered with corpses of Dajue Temple Bhikkhu and soldiers, with over ten thousand estimated wounded.

The Chief Yan Xin’s heart was seemingly engulfed in rage. Seeing Jiang Yuanlong and others had long escaped, he was furious enough to almost jump with anger.
