Genius Club

Chapter 1167: Chapter 36 Turbulent Times (Additional update for Alliance Leader Mengmeng Yichang!)_4

This invention that benefits humanity’s technology and civilization ought to be shared with the entire world. Hoarding it would have absolutely no positive significance, especially since Lin Xian doesn’t plan to hibernate.

Moreover, he’s seen far too many friends tormented by hibernation-induced amnesia, losing their sense of self.

Xu Yiyi, Wei Shengjin, Zheng Xiangyue, and so on…

If these geniuses were truly willing to fund and protect Du Yao, letting her achieve groundbreaking research that could solve the problem of hibernation amnesia, then why not?

But the issue lies in…

Lin Xian is worried.

Worried that Galileo’s inquiry about this matter is “directional,” is “conspiratorial.”

Perhaps he doesn’t want humanity to retain its memory but rather intends to completely seal off the possibility of humans keeping their memories. Could he even directly harm Du Yao?

If Galileo learns Du Yao’s name, it might be too late.

Actions must begin immediately!

Lin Xian narrowed his eyes.

Galileo’s next question will come a month from now.

Within this month, he must… find Du Yao!

…

Einstein turned to Da Vinci:

“Miss Da Vinci, what is your question this time?”

Da Vinci pondered:

“Now that Copernicus is dead, humanity’s scientific and technological advancement no longer faces any obstacles. The outlook should be bright. Einstein, my question is—”

“What will be the next breakthrough in the energy field for humanity?”

“January 4th, 2025.”

Einstein answered without hesitation:

“The successful invention of the miniature nuclear battery.”

Thunk!

Lin Xian felt his heart seize.

What kind of meeting is this…

Why does it feel like he’s about to be fully exposed?

Did these two seniors plan this together? Coming straight for him?

Give me a break.

He just happened to show up 20 minutes early on a whim this time. He certainly didn’t intend to be the third wheel. Next time, he’d absolutely never come early again. Don’t mess with me, seniors.

“So soon?”

Da Vinci’s tone was full of astonishment:

“This is far earlier than I expected! Who would have thought… just half a year later, miniature nuclear batteries can be in use. By the way… Jask, what exactly are miniature nuclear batteries?”

“Probably the type used in lunar rovers and space probes.”

Jask stroked his chin thoughtfully and replied:

“Although nuclear batteries have been widely used in the aerospace field since the last century, this type of battery still has many unresolved issues and is completely unsuitable for civilian use.”

“So this question stumps me. I genuinely don’t know what the structure of a miniature nuclear battery is. It makes me quite eager to see which genius scientist has been so low-key… bringing forth such a groundbreaking invention without a word!”

…

Lin Xian closed his eyes, silent.

Dude.

Say less.

Then Einstein turned to Gauss:

“Gauss, it’s your turn.”

The thin man nodded, his speech slow and deliberate:

“I… I have… no… question.”

?

This time, Lin Xian was genuinely surprised.

Could it be.

Gauss’s questions have all been asked?

In previous meetings, his answers had been entirely negative, yet he chose not to keep asking.

That suggests…

From the start, all Gauss wanted was a negative answer!

Afterward.

Einstein’s mask turned to Jask:

“No.7 Tesla, you’ve missed two meetings in a row. What question do you want to ask this time?”

“Haha.”

Jask smiled faintly and spoke in a loud voice:

“This time, I want to ask a rather interesting question. It’s also an unsolved mystery in the scientific community. Honestly, I’m not even certain you’ll know the answer.”

“My question is—”

“Where are the ashes of Albert Einstein, the famed physicist and proposer of the Theory of Relativity and the mass-energy equivalence equation, scattered?”

Everyone present, except for Lin Xian, turned to look at Jask.

Confused as to why he’d ask such an irrelevant question.

Was it purely for reverence?

However, Jask had always been irreverent. It wasn’t the first or second time he brought up baffling questions in meetings.

Previously, he had asked Einstein who would win the presidential election in Mi Country this year, leaving everyone puzzled by his logic.

So, faced with Jask’s question, the other members seemed only slightly perplexed and didn’t dwell too much on it.

The real person concerned with this question…

Was likely only Lin Xian and Jask.

The elderly man in the Einstein mask looked at Jask for a few seconds.

Then he slowly spoke:

“Refuse to answer. Question void.”
