Chapter 1084: Chapter 12 The Godfather (Added for the leader, I am a book friend 0921!)_3

“Their main function is to patrol the city, scan for uncivilized behaviors, deduct points… In terms of combat ability, they are very weak.”

“So what’s with today…” Lin Xian just had to touch on the sore spot.

“Today is a special case!”

Xu Yiyi snorted:

“Look, when we escape, we usually flee through sewer manhole covers that don’t have ladders, and when we break in, we climb up through other manholes that do have ladders. These are the rules of the trade, you’d better remember them well.”

Lin Xian nodded.

Realizing that the big sister was giving a lecture:

“How should I address you?”

“Just call me Yiyi.”

Xu Yiyi extended her hand, ready to high-five Lin Xian:

“And you?”

“Lin Xian,” Lin Xian said.

Slap.

The two high-fived.

“Follow me.”

Xu Yiyi turned her head, leading Lin Xian into a passage of unknown direction:

“Let’s get out of the city first.”

Lin Xian followed her:

“Yiyi, I have a lot of questions to ask you.”

“Ask away.”

Xu Yiyi was very straightforward:

“You’re my little brother, of course, I’ll tell you everything I know, as long as I know it.”

Lin Xian looked at the dark and unfamiliar yet familiar figure ahead in the underground sewer:

“You are… from the past era, came over through hibernation, right?”

“Eh?”

Xu Yiyi stopped, turned back, and looked at Lin Xian:

“How did you know? Can you even tell that?”

She nodded her head:

“You guessed right, I did wake up from a Hibernation Pod, and this is my sixth year since awakening. If we calculate based on my actual age, I should be 19 years old.”

“Do you still remember what happened before your hibernation?” Lin Xian asked.

Xu Yiyi shook her head:

“No, and I couldn’t possibly remember. I woke up in Donghai City, and according to the only medical record, I was a high paraplegic vegetative before hibernation, so there’s no way I could remember anything from before.”

“But I don’t have any real sense of being a vegetative person, when I opened my eyes in this era, my body was very healthy, and with the help of medication and nutritional supplements, I recovered quickly enough to move around.”

…

Indeed.

Lin Xian was quite emotional.

By now, Xu Yiyi’s identity has been clearly confirmed.

She indeed is Professor Xu Yun’s daughter, since he noticed it during their escape, a careful comparison revealed that Xu Yiyi’s facial features bear some resemblance to Professor Xu Yun’s.

Especially the nose and lower cheeks, almost identical.

Unexpectedly.

Meeting an old friend in a foreign land.

To actually meet Xu Yiyi after traveling such a long distance.

Lin Xian also didn’t know how to express his feelings.

Firstly, seeing Xu Yiyi so healthy and lively, he was definitely happy from the bottom of his heart.

He was genuinely happy.

Happy for Xu Yiyi and also for Professor Xu Yun.

Having seen Xu Yiyi pale and skeletal in the hospital room several times, Lin Xian felt quite bad.

And now, seeing her bouncing around, lively and vigorous, he was of course very relieved.

It was also justifying Teacher Xu’s spirit in heaven, if Teacher Xu could see this scene, he would definitely be happier than Lin Xian.

Because, his wishes and efforts…

Really bore fruit in his daughter.

Secondly.

Lin Xian also felt mixed emotions.

How to put it.

Xu Yiyi is lively, for sure, but isn’t she a bit too lively?

The current Xu Yiyi, one can’t say she’s definitely a bad kid, but at least, she’s definitely not an obedient, well-behaved kid.

She would sneak into the city through the sewers, attack police androids to steal things, and rob children’s masks without any sense of guilt…

It just feels.

This kid has learned some bad habits.

It’s not that Lin Xian is old-fashioned or conservative, but as Teacher Xu once entrusted Xu Yiyi to him, asking him to take care of her if there’s a chance.

So seeing Xu Yiyi in her current state, Lin Xian still vaguely felt like he had let down Teacher Xu’s expectations.

“Yiyi, do you remember nothing at all from before you went into hibernation? Do you have any concept of mom and dad?”

“No.”

Xu Yiyi shook her head decisively, hastening her steps forward:

“Really, not at all.”

“Others, before entering hibernation, might leave things like Memory Notebooks or memory recordings. Look at me, I was a vegetable before hibernation; where would I have the chance to leave anything like that.”
