Chapter 923: Chapter 40: Yan Qiaoqiao and Lin Yuxi (Additional chapter for Silver Alliance Patron loading7!)_2

With a reverse grip on the knife, executing a grand arc like a crescent moon, a head soaring skyward… it truly was a kind of violent aesthetic.

The details were too similar; how could Lin Yuxi not be related?

“Option B can also be eliminated.”

Lin Xian drew another red cross.

It had already been analyzed that traveling to a point in time earlier using the Time Shuttle Machine and Space-Time Particles was feasible; but… traveling to an undefined future that was constantly changing was a bit far-fetched.

Moreover, Yan Qiaoqiao’s age was also a big problem.

The Yan Qiaoqiao of 2024 was already fourteen years old, whereas the girl who awoke in The Sixth Dreamland was about seventeen or eighteen.

Only a three to four-year age difference between them.

This meant that…

Yan Qiaoqiao had to complete hibernation, time travel, genetic enhancement, and physical training within these three to four years, training to at least the point where she could rip open a Hibernation Pod and sever a head with a piece of metal.

“Not very realistic.”

Lin Xian shook his head,

“A person’s energy is limited; so much can’t be done in three to four years. Even with the highest intensity of training every day, Yan Qiaoqiao wouldn’t have such good skills… let alone, drug and genetic enhancements are already too late for someone of Yan Qiaoqiao’s age.”

Then,

Lin Xian looked at the third option, Option C.

“This one can’t be eliminated, there are too many unknown factors. The main reason is… I don’t know if I survived the assassination on July 7th.”

“Because, if Lin Yuxi is still alive in this world, she would have no reason to give up on pursuing me; it’s the mission and duty that brought her across time and space, one that she would definitely carry out to the end.”

“The two of us, it’s a matter of life and death. If I am alive, it means she failed or died; if I am dead, it means she succeeded and survived.”

“So, let’s put this option aside for now and wait until I meet Turing in The Sixth Dreamland, and casually inquire about my historical fate based on familiar faces.”

Temporarily skipping over Option C, he looked at Option D.

This was the most far-fetched option, with many questions unanswerable.

If Lin Yuxi and Yan Qiaoqiao were indeed the same person… then why didn’t Yan Qiaoqiao kill herself?

In The Sixth Dreamland, Lin Yuxi’s not killing herself could be explained by her amnesia after hibernation.

But what about Yan Qiaoqiao in 2024?

Did she also have amnesia?

Suddenly,

Lin Xian sat up straight, taking a sharp breath:

“[It seems… if she also had amnesia, indeed, many things could be explained clearly!]”

He closed his eyes.

And began to sort through his thoughts.

Initially, he and Jask had been certain that after the destruction of the Entangled State of Time-Space Particle, Lin Yuxi couldn’t possibly have come out unscathed! She had to suffer some kind of damage, some kind of punishment.

At that time, both of them had thought that Lin Yuxi turned into blue stardust and vanished.

But what if…

She hadn’t vanished?

If she didn’t vanish, then what kind of punishment would Lin Yuxi suffer, and what kinds of changes would occur to her?

Lin Xian’s thoughts became clearer and clearer in his mind.

It felt like he really had caught a critical point!

So, follow the thought trail, and make a bold assumption…

Amnesia, the disappearance of Space-Time Exclusion effect, weakened state, the disappearance of the blue light in her pupils.

Could it be this scenario?

“Possibly.”

Lin Xian opened his eyes:

“It’s only a possibility, but there is no definitive proof.”

“The problem is… if Lin Yuxi indeed turned into Yan Qiaoqiao because the Entangled State of Time-Space Particle was destroyed. What was the catalyst that turned Yan Qiaoqiao back into Lin Yuxi? And how could Yan Qiaoqiao revert back to Lin Yuxi before July 7th, then sever my head on that day, thus completing the closed loop of predetermined history?”

“But how to prove that Lin Yuxi and Yan Qiaoqiao are the same person? Where do we start to verify or eliminate this absurd hypothesis?”

Lin Xian pinched the red pen with two fingers, quickly twirling it between them.

If only he had Lin Yuxi’s hair or her DNA information…

That way,

He could compare it with Yan Qiaoqiao’s DNA.

DNA doesn’t lie; if their DNA matches, then there’s no doubt, Lin Yuxi and Yan Qiaoqiao are the same person.
