“We’re happy too.”

When Old Madam Ye heard this, the smile on the corner of her mouth widened. It was indeed a happy occasion. Anyway, her daughter was going to be the wife of an official, so she was happy.

This was even happier than his son becoming a general, especially since Ye Hao’s life was always on the line when he was in trouble. It was much more dangerous than being an official.

“Mother, when did the news come back? Ah Heng said he was going to take up his post directly. When he gets there, he will arrange for someone to come and pick us up.” Ye Muyu also wanted to see Chu Heng. Unexpectedly, in the blink of an eye, the two of them had been separated for almost three to four months.

Madam Liu also got down to business. “The news came a few days ago. According to the date of Ah Heng’s letter, I think that someone will come to deliver the letter in a few days.”

Ye Muyu touched her chest and felt that it was beating very fast. However, she did not know how to tell the elders. Besides, she had just had a nightmare. If she told them, her parents would be worried.

Because of this, she ate less at night.

Madam Liu and Old Woman Ye thought that she was sick. Ye Muyu found an excuse, saying that it was too hot and she had no appetite.

At night, Ye Muyu sat on the bed and could not fall asleep. She held the jade Buddha in her hand. Chu Heng had given it to her before he left. He said that it had been blessed in Deming Temple and would protect her safety.

Ye Muyu clutched the jade Buddha tightly, hoping to hear some news soon.

The next morning…

Ye Muyu casually ate some porridge and asked the people to leave.

She had nothing to do and was afraid that she would let her imagination run wild, so she wanted to go out and take a look at the shop.

Before she left, Tang Dongfeng and Butler Luo came over.

The two of them walked in a hurry, looking like they had something to do.

“Madam, something big has happened.” Luo Qisheng saw her in the courtyard and quickly said.

“What’s the matter?” Ye Muyu asked anxiously.

“It’s the Yu family. The Yu family has been raided.” Tang Dongfeng was still a little happy when he said this.

Ye Muyu was stunned. She did not expect this.

Tang Dongfeng continued, “Madam has been gone for so long. Actually, the Yu family’s cosmetics shop in the prefecture had already run into trouble. Many of the madams and young ladies started to have pimples on their faces. Once this happened more often, they found a doctor to treat them. Everyone then understood that the problem lay in the Yu family’s cosmetics shop.”

“However, the Yu family was also decisive. They immediately dealt with the shopkeeper inside and threw out a scapegoat. They also paid a lot of money to resolve this matter. Although the losses were not small and it even affected their reputation a little, the Yu family still has a lot of money. It didn’t affect them much.”

“However, news has spread in Jing City that the Imperial Consort is currently favored, but something has happened to her face. Naturally, she will not let go of the Yu family who contributed her cosmetics.”

“Early this morning, the Yu family was imprisoned. The cosmetics shop in the prefecture was also sealed. The news came directly from the prefecture, so the Yu family in the county was one step slower.”

“Madam, do you think the Yu family deserves it?” Tang Dongfeng snorted.

Ye Muyu had long known that this day would come. The nobles in Jing City would not listen to any explanation. They just wanted to vent their anger. In their eyes, an ordinary landlord was just a small figure. Naturally, they would punish him as they wished.

Luo Qisheng had always known that this matter had something to do with Ye Muyu’s consmetics shop. When he heard this, he was a little worried. “Madam, will the Yu family retaliate in the end and drag us into it?”

“They won’t.” Tang Dongfeng smiled even more proudly.

“How do you know?” Luo Qisheng raised his eyebrows.
