Your Majesty, I need to use the restroom

Pei Zhuang then nestled herself in Gu Jinghong’s arms with satisfaction.

Somehow, Gu Jinghong felt a bit happy with the woman hugging him.

She never hid things from him, which was different than everyone he knew.

Maybe that was the reason why he would allow Pei Zhuang to do whatever she wanted.

As Gu Jinghong justified his favor towards Pei Zhuang, he leaned down and put her in the bed.

After such a long day, Pei Zhuang felt like collapsing on her bed and sleep for a century.

At thought of the foxy man behind, however, she didn’t let her guard down but held his arms tightly.

She said in a sweet voice: “Your majesty, aren’t you going to stay the tonight?”

But what she thought was the opposite: “Please turn me down and leave! I need to have a good night’s sleep so that I can deal with other concubines tomorrow morning! Leave me alone!”

Gu Jinghong knew Pei Zhuang never meant what she said. Get faster updates on novelceo(.)com.

He touched her nose lightly with his index finger and said indulgently: “I need to have a balanced diet, so I’m going to have some ‘simple food’ now, after which I can continue to enjoy a ‘delicacy’ like you.”

Hearing what the man said with a straight face, Pei Zhuang, who was usually careless, flushed right away.

She let go of Gu Jinghong and covered herself with a quilt.

Pretending to be angry, she said: “Your majesty, just leave! It will be bad for your health if you eat anything without careful cooking, take care!”

Yet she did not notice the barest hint of an affectionate smile in Gu’s eyes.

Unlike the feigned enthusiasm before, that smile seemed to be from his heart naturally, one that was extremely fascinating.

With Gu’s footsteps receding, Pei Zhuang started to toss and turn in her bed.

“When I can be free from such a life? God, if you can hear me, just strike me with lightning and set me free!”

“Click!”

A piece of tile fell from the roof after Pei Zhuang said that.

Fixing her eyes upon the broken pieces, she could not help but tremble while clenching the quilt: “I said that for fun. Please don’t take it seriously! I haven’t finished losing weight yet. It will be too much for the workers to carry the coffin with a heavy dead woman inside! God bless me...”

When Pei Zhuang was mumbling, a piece of paper fell from the place where the tile dropped.

At the sight of that, Pei immediately grabbed a vase nearby and threw it towards that spot on the ceiling. This story is hosted at novel‌ceo.com.

“Who is there? Show yourself, or else I’ll show no mercy!”

In the spacious and empty room, no one answered her.

After a while, Pei Zhuang got up from the bed and put the paper near the candlelight so that she could see the characters written thereon clearly.

Oh, the handwriting was powerful and vigorous, as if it was the work of a calligraphy master.

But she...couldn’t understand those ancient characters...

Pei Zhuang tried hard to read the characters on that piece of paper, but failed recognize most of them, for they were written in Traditional Chinese, except the few that were similar to the simplified version.

At the moment, she missed the days when she could use a phone or even a dictionary!

She tugged the paper in the dresser, and then collapsed onto the bed.

“God, let’s stick to the plan, please kill me with lightning, so that I can be free from all this crazy stuff!”
