Your Majesty, I need to use the restroom

Gu Jinghong did loosen his grip unexpectedly, almost making Pei Zhuang fall off the bed. She lay down on the very edge discreetly and turned her back towards Gu Jinghong. Letting out a sigh in relief secretly, Pei Zhuang knew she was safe temporarily.

Gu Jinghong stared at her back, his eyes flickering with a wisp of malice. He had been suspicious in these days that Pei Zhuang was no longer the woman before. His heart even pounded with a tinge of affection for her.

However, she did want to flee...

Was she lost in her daydream?

As ambivalent as she was, though hoping to win Gu Jinghong’s favour, Pei Zhuang also wanted him to leave her room as soon as possible.

Because he was a venomous snake with the desire for her blood!

The more she was frightened, the further she moved away from him.

“Ah!”

Pei Zhuang suddenly lost balance!

Just as Pei Zhuang was going to fall over, she was dragged back suddenly into Gu Jinghong’s strong arms.

With their lips quite close, her body pressed tightly against his, her blushing cheeks enveloped by his warm and short breath.

Lan’er, who was guarding at the entrance hurried into the room upon hearing the sound. Greatly stunned by the erotic scene, she retreated hastily after regaining consciousness. Read this novel at novelceo(.)com for the best experience.

The young eunuch followed her inside intended to have a glimpse at what happened but was pushed back immediately. She was still blushied when the door closed.

“Is there anything wrong with His Majesty and madam?” He asked in a hurry.

Shooting him with a warning stare, Lan’er led him to the corner before admonishing him, “Fulfill your duty as a guard. How dare you make an inquiry!”

Though not loud, the sound was striking enough to remind them what happened just then.

Winking at the face before her eyes, Pei Zhuang suddenly pushed him away with all of her strength out of intense fear.

However, she regretted at once.

Upon hearing the emperor’s snort in pain, Pei Zhuang got up and forced an embarrassing smile at him, who was sitting on the floor. “Your Majesty, since I have been eating more than before recently, my strength also increased...”

With his face darkening, Gu Jinghong had never expected Pei Zhuang would have been bold enough to push him off the bed!

He rose to his feet and left in a huff.

Pei Zhuang sighed in relief upon seeing Gu Jinghong heading towards the door. As soon as she intended to lie down for a good sleep, she suddenly heard someone entering her room.

With the bed sinking all of a sudden, it was obvious the person had just lain down. Pei Zhuang tried her best to collect herself before turning around slowly.

Unsurprisingly, Gu Jinghong was lying on his back with his eyes closed already. Get faster updates on NovelCEO.

“Your Majesty...”

“Since it is too late, you should sleep right now, darling.” Gu Jinghong suggested tenderly, his eyes still closed.

Pei Zhuang edged inward with a nod in silence. Having fallen sound asleep, he no longer intended to hug her like before.

Was he angry, or not?

With her back towards him, Pei Zhuang somehow intended to approach him, hold his waist and nestle against his chest...

For several days, Gu Jinghong would spend the night at Xuan Ji Palace. Though very tender to her at daytime, he turned quite frosty at once when it was time for bed.

As upset as Pei Zhuang was, without certainty of his intention, she could only serve him discreetly with an awkward smile.

She always kept alert during her sleep, in case the man beside her would bite her head off all of a sudden.

“Madam, are you all right?” Considering Pei Zhuang had always been listless these days, Lan’er asked with concern.

“Nothing. It’s just that I’m being targeted by a wolf.” Pei Zhuang waved with her head lowered.

At the thought of her current situation, she was almost reduced to tears.

Pei Zhuang had always regarded Gu Jinghong as her supporter. However, after learning about his intention, she couldn’t help regretting deeply, even intending to take her own life.
