Rebirth: Super Banking System

Chapter 101: Chapter 92 Do you have any interest in changing jobs?_1

Apparently, Dou Jiao had no sense of shame at all. Instead, she spoke with increasing smugness, ”Hehe, Little Brother Tang, there’s no need to be so modest. I am quite good looking after all, I’m not lying. What, you don’t think your big sister is beautiful?”

”Eh, Sister Jiaojiao is certainly very beautiful, but... being a little more modest would be better.” Tang Qing clearly didn’t dare to say something as mood-killing as ’you are not the most beautiful’, because you should never compare a woman’s looks with those of other women. That’s just asking for trouble.

”That’s better. Little Brother Tang, who is this?” Dou Jiao glanced at Sun Chao and asked. At this point, she also realized that Tang Qing was the main person in charge, so she asked out of courtesy.

”This is my brother, Sun Chao.” Tang Qing replied. Although Sun Chao was his subordinate, Tang Qing was preparing to groom him as a close confidant, so he had to pay attention to these details in front of outsiders.

”Hello Sun Chao.” Dou Jiao greeted.

”Hello, Miss Dou.” Sun Chao gave a slight smile and then returned to his usual expression, vigilantly scanning the surroundings, having fully assumed the role of a bodyguard.

Seeing Sun Chao resume his indifferent expression towards her, Dou Jiao felt a sudden surge of indignation. Did she really lack appeal?

Humph!

Dou Jiao turned to Tang Qing. ”Little Brother Tang, what kind of business does your family run?”

”We sell clothes. We only started not long ago.” Tang Qing replied.

The two of them were walking and chatting. However, it was mostly Dou Jiao asking questions and Tang Qing providing the responses, while Sun Chao continued to act impassively.

By now, Tang Qing had been led by Dou Jiao to the VIP reception room inside. As Dou Jiao poured tea, she continued to chat.

”Little Brother Tang, the truth is I have this kind of personality. I don’t like to beat around the bush, and I’m not afraid that people will say I’m a social climber. Let me be frank with you, and don’t spread this around. Many times, some people do have innate advantages, such as being beautiful, which can greatly increase their chances of success. But that can also be a disadvantage. Why? Because they’re beautiful, everyone wants a piece of them. Regardless of whether they really want to purchase something or not, they go to great lengths to give the illusion that they do. And then? I found out that after putting in so much effort, I still wasn’t as good as a regular salesperson, which I obviously couldn’t accept.”

Setting the tea in front of Tang Qing and Sun Chao, Dou Jiao continued:

”Also, the chances of encountering wealthy people are slim to begin with. Approaching people indiscriminately might be fine for others, but given my appearance and assuming I attend to at least ten customers per day as a minimum standard, that would be more than 3000 a year. Can you guess the odds that I will encounter bad people, danger, or harassment? As a woman, can I ensure my safety every single time? Obviously, I’m not willing to take this risk, and this is just a conservative estimate. Even now, many of them still bother me with constant phone calls, and quite a few come to the shop pretending they want to buy something, but just want to talk to me. It’s unbearably annoying.

Fortunately though, my family, while not staggeringly wealthy, is certainly well-off enough to ensure I won’t starve. I have no need to plunge myself into endless harassment and put up with those nasty men. Dealing with them is truly troublesome. Many people give you hope time and again, only to let you down over and over again. So, I’d rather focus on some powerful major clients. Even if I am harassed, at least the hope they offer is a bit more practical, and the success rate is higher. As it is now, my performance in the store is merely average, but the effort and time that I put in is just one-fifth, or even less, of those with similar achievements. Hehe, don’t you think I’m actually the winner?”

Having finished, Dou Jiao looked at Tang Qing with an inquiring eye, as if she were waiting for Tang Qing to agree with her views.

Upon seeing this, Tang Qing naturally knew what to say.
