Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 3029: Chapter 3038: The Next Scene Is a Kiss Scene

This scene is a major highlight in the script, showcasing the personalities of the dual female protagonists while also depicting the different choices adolescent girls face regarding friendship and romance through the film.

This scene is profoundly significant for Olivia Lewis.

Because the character she plays, Rosalyn, has inherently complex emotions. She lost her father at a young age, and her mother abandoned her and ran off with a wealthy man. From an early age, she’s experienced an extreme lack of security; her heart yearns to be cared for and loved. For her, Cyrus Taylor’s appearance is not just an adolescent infatuation, but also a mirage of love. At the moment Cyrus Taylor confesses to her, she actually wants to agree because she occasionally expresses girlish admiration towards Cyrus Taylor during their daily interactions. She can’t help but flirt with her friend’s boyfriend; she wants to become someone with the endless happiness of Sophia, envying and yearning to be Sophia. Yet when everything could become real, she chooses to fulfill her friend’s happiness, pushing away the easily attainable love.

One could say the character of Rosalyn is morally ambiguous.

She isn’t the traditionally likable female character.

Considering she involuntarily attracts Cyrus Taylor’s attention in everyday life, she resembles what girls call a ”green tea” persona.

However, she is very conflicted.

She envies Sophia, yet loves Sophia.

That love is different from the love she has for Cyrus Taylor.

It contains friendship, redemption, a desire to protect, longing, admiration, and a hazy complexity resembling love.

Therefore, when it comes to whom Rosalyn truly loves, even she isn’t sure.

But in this scene, Rosalyn chooses Sophia.

Sophia chooses Cyrus Taylor.

And Cyrus Taylor weakly chooses to not hurt either of the two girls caught between them.

...

Olivia Lewis studied this scene for a long time; she privately communicated with the director and screenwriter, and after integrating various opinions, she has a rough idea.

However, because she had been staying in the hospital recently, she couldn’t find anyone to practice with.

Before the actual results come out, she can’t be certain how she will perform it.

This film has a significant time span; according to the director’s concept, this scene will be split into two parts. The part where the three go on a scenic tour will appear in the first half, during their teenage years.

The latter part, where Rosalyn rejects Cyrus Taylor’s confession, will be shown as Sophia’s recollection after they have grown up and experienced various life changes.

Therefore, the performance’s tension is particularly important.

Olivia Lewis has not fully recovered; she sat on a special rest chair beside the film crew, flipping through the script while memorizing the lines.

Just then, a shadow appeared before her, blocking part of the light.

Olivia Lewis looked up to see Lydia Bell, already dressed in costume, standing in front of her.

Lydia Bell’s long hair was tied into a ponytail, revealing a smooth forehead and a plump face full of collagen, complemented by her watery big eyes that matched her artistic name, radiating the essence of a pure schoolgirl.

Contrasting Lydia Bell, who in her school uniform exuded a refreshing purity, Olivia Lewis recalled what she saw in the mirror after changing her clothes, making her feel a bit disheartened.

Being young is indeed a blessing.

When she puts on her school uniform, she has none of that collagen-rich girlish aura; instead, she seems like a beautiful rebellious teen.
