Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2984: Chapter 2993: Her Name Is the Most Beautiful

The domineering man scooped her straight into his arms, grabbed her hand and played with it. Lowering his eyes as if it were only natural, he said, ”Enna Clark sounds the best!”

Enna Clark’s temple throbbed hard twice. She shot him a glare, annoyed. ”Please, I’m seriously asking you.”

Baron Lawrence tugged her fingers, his index finger deliberately hooking her palm, domineering and childish. ”I’m seriously answering you too. Enna Clark is the best-sounding!”

A tingling itch, like an electric shock, spread from Enna Clark’s palm. She reflexively pulled her hand back and said gloomily, ”There’s no way our future little bun is going to be called Enna Clark, that’s way too ridiculous.”

She couldn’t picture it at all—someone calling ”Enna Clark,” and the two of them at home doing a duet.

”Then Enna Lawrence!” Baron Lawrence blurted out without even thinking.

”No!” Enna Clark immediately crossed her arms in front of her chest, making an X, ruthlessly rejecting him. ”No Enna. Think of something else. If you can’t come up with a good one, I’ll have Grandpa name the little bun.”

In any case, she was not going to let the precious bun she’d worked so hard to bring into the world be randomly given some stray-cat–stray-dog name by him!

The names she picked were so nice.

Tobias Clark, Giselle Lawrence.

And what the hell were the ones he came up with.

He’d even thrown out something like Enna Lawrence—so awful!

She’d never liked her own name anyway—Enna, Enna—it always felt like she was saying ”mm-hmm.” It sounded like some soft, limp, totally personality-less type.

”The names that Old Man picks will definitely be worse than mine. If you let Old Man name the kid, don’t you dare regret it later!” Baron Lawrence was displeased that she kept despising his naming skills. His handsome face darkened as he deliberately threw that out.

Enna Clark didn’t believe a word he said. ”What’s so bad about Grandpa’s names? I think they’re way better than yours. Didn’t Grandpa give you and Skye Lawrence your names? They sound great. The meanings are good too.”

Baron—it sounded like someone noble and domineering the moment you heard it.

As for Skye, that was really nice too. Pure and spotless like a cloud, and also implied soaring upward, straight into the sky.

Anyway, it was just better than that Enna Lawrence he’d just come up with.

Being talked back to again and again, Baron Lawrence’s pride took a bit of a hit. His thin lips pressed together, and he was just about to snap at her. His gaze suddenly fell on her flat lower belly, and he forcibly held his handsome face in check, swallowing the words back down.

Forget it. If he scared the little one in her belly, that’d be trouble.

He’d endure!

He’d wait until she gave birth to the little thing in her belly before settling the score with her.

Let her learn what it meant to leave a man a little dignity.

”Whatever you want.” He crossed his long legs, trapping her on his thigh, his hand firmly clasped around the soft curve of her waist. He reached out, seemingly casually, and brushed her lower belly. A strange feeling spread through his chest—there was actually a tiny life in there. Just thinking about it felt magical. It obviously looked no different from before, yet it was hiding a little one inside, and a little one who shared his bloodline... The blood in Baron Lawrence’s heart sped up, and his pitch-black eagle eyes softened completely.

”Were you scared today?”

Seeing that he’d stopped fooling around, Enna Clark also quieted down, letting him hold her without struggling. She shook her head. ”No. Bobby was protecting me. I actually didn’t see much.”

Their Bobby was way too fierce!

With Bobby there, Renee Anderson never had a chance to get close to them. It was only when she got pushed to the edge and lunged over that one time that Gigi got startled, which made Gigi take a tumble.
