Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2935: Chapter 2944: President Lawrence Probably Has No Time Recently

Benjamin Sinclair’s face turned ashen. He tried again, but the phone still gave the same mechanical female voice, ”Sorry, the user you have dialed cannot be reached at the moment, please try again later...”

Suppressing his anger, he pressed the hang-up button!

”How is this possible, what does Young Master Lawrence mean by this?” Benjamin Sinclair couldn’t understand for a moment, feeling both embarrassed and angry. His breathing was heavy, his face turning blue with rage, and he almost wanted to throw the phone away. But his anger subsided when he thought of Renee Anderson and the child in her belly, deciding instead to call Baron Lawrence’s personal secretary, Assistant Terrence.

”Beep... beep...” This time, the phone rang twice but didn’t leave him embarrassed like before.

”Hello, Director Sinclair, is there something you need?”

His call finally got through, and Benjamin Sinclair’s furious expression eased a little. He carefully chose his words and asked, ”Assistant Terrence, it’s like this, I want to arrange a time to meet with Young Master Lawrence. Can you check when Young Master Lawrence is available and help me set an appointment?”

”Ah, this...” The person on the other end elongated the tone for half a second, then told him with a very regretful tone, ”Lately, President Lawrence is probably unavailable, Director Sinclair, I am very sorry.”

Benjamin Sinclair’s square face stiffened, feeling a bit unable to maintain his dignity, he rigidly said, ”Can Assistant Terrence please convey to Young Master Lawrence, see if it’s possible for him to find some time? I can visit Young Master Lawrence; half an hour is enough. I have a personal matter to discuss with Young Master Lawrence.”

Assistant Terrence considered he was Adam Sinclair’s father and did not continue to beat around the bush, instead directly stating, ”Director Sinclair is looking for our President Lawrence because of that Miss Anderson, right?”

”...” Benjamin Sinclair didn’t expect the other party to be so clear, he frowned and admitted, ”Yes, an incident occurred in the Anderson Family, it seems to be related to the Lawrence Corporation, I want to ask Young Master Lawrence what’s happening.”

”Director Sinclair doesn’t need to ask our President; I can tell you what’s going on. Today, Miss Anderson came to our Lawrence Corporation to find President Lawrence, claiming she was pregnant and asking President Lawrence to notify Young Master Sinclair. President Lawrence suspected she was lying, so he took her to a nearby hospital for a pregnancy test. After obtaining the results, he informed Young Master Sinclair. As for the subsequent events, Director Sinclair should understand clearly, and there’s no need for me to elaborate.” Assistant Terrence continued, ”The problem arose afterward. After Director Sinclair left with Miss Anderson, our President was photographed by paparazzi. Suddenly, a series of photos emerged online, clearly capturing President Lawrence taking Miss Anderson into the hospital, visiting the Pregnancy Test Center, then driving away alone. The content of the photos is very ambiguous and easily misunderstood.”

Benjamin Sinclair couldn’t quite understand, ”What do these photos have to do with Renee, and what does Young Master Lawrence mean by targeting the Anderson Family?”

Assistant Terrence was amused by his question and analytically explained to him, ”Director Sinclair, think about it, it is impossible for paparazzi to control our President’s schedule! Moreover, how would the paparazzi know about accompanying Miss Anderson to the hospital for a check-up, premeditate to ambush there, and deliberately capture those easily misunderstood photos? Would they even dare to take the risk of being found out and post them online? Where are there so many coincidences in the world? Have the paparazzi gone crazy? Or is someone directing them?”

Benjamin Sinclair, being able to secure the position of the Chairman of Sinclair International, was not a fool. With such obvious clues from Assistant Terrence, he immediately understood the other’s meaning.
