Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2933: Chapter 2942: Only Benjamin Sinclair Can Help

What he really wanted to say was that having Adam Sinclair mediate would be the most effective, because Adam and Baron Lawrence always had a close relationship. If Adam spoke up, Baron would somewhat give some consideration.

However, he had also just been at the hospital, and saw with his own eyes how much Adam despised her, so he swallowed the words to prevent hurting her.

”If Uncle Sinclair can help, that would be best. Uncle is an elder; if he’s willing to step forward and ask, it should be useful.” Austin Harper immediately added, comforting her, ”Anyway, Sister Renee, you should first try to see if Uncle Sinclair is willing to help. I’m definitely going to help you, so don’t worry.”

”Alright, I’ll go find Uncle Sinclair later.” Renee paused for a moment and spoke softly with genuine feeling, ”Austin, thank you. If it weren’t for you, I really wouldn’t know what to do. I don’t even know why President Lawrence suddenly turned against my family, my grandpa is so old, I...”

Austin’s voice turned serious, strongly disagreeing, ”Why else, it’s definitely because of someone! That someone probably asked President Lawrence to do it! Otherwise, why would President Lawrence target the Anderson Family without reason? Grandpa Anderson is so old; he used to visit your home when he was young, and Grandpa Anderson even gave us cookies. He doesn’t remember any of that! Now for a female star, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do? I just hope he doesn’t regret it later!”

It was painfully obvious who he was referring to!

After speaking, he suppressed his anger and gently comforted Renee, ”Sister Renee, just ask Uncle Sinclair for help. If he steps forward, he can surely suppress this someone.”

”I understand.” Renee, feeling anxious and uncertain, hung up the call.

Austin was so confident that Benjamin Sinclair could handle this matter because he misunderstood that Baron Lawrence acted against the Anderson family at Adam’s request.

He didn’t know that the reason Baron acted might very likely be because of that reporter, and those reports online...

Renee, both shocked and fearful, bit her lip tightly, filled with resentment.

Those news reports are merely trivial matters to a man like Baron Lawrence. After discovering them, he could just have them removed directly. So why go this far against her over such a small matter!

Renee clenched her fists; even though she was filled with anger, she knew Baron Lawrence wasn’t Adam Sinclair, who she had known since childhood, and shared that youthful bond. If she rashly confronted him, she might end up being directly thrown out, and that would be utterly humiliating.

Feeling unsettled, she took a deep breath, asked the servant about Benjamin Sinclair’s whereabouts, and went upstairs to find him.

The second floor held the owner’s bedroom.

Renee stepped onto the expensive, soft carpet, her mood slightly calmer, lifted her hand, and knocked on the bedroom door, ”Knock knock—”

”Uncle Sinclair, are you busy? It’s Renee.”

”Just a moment.”

Benjamin’s voice came from the room, and she withdrew her hand, standing at the door with a sense of calm.

Soon, a middle-aged man, dressed in casual homewear, opened the door. Though surprised, he still asked her gently, ”Renee, what’s wrong? Has the servant not arranged your room yet? Or is there something you’re not accustomed to?”

Renee’s eyes slightly reddened, she shook her head, ”No.”

Seeing her eyes reddened, Benjamin Sinclair furrowed his brows, his expression turning severe, ”Did someone from the servants downstairs bully you?”

Renee immediately shook her head, denying, ”No, Uncle Sinclair, you misunderstood. No one bullied me; it’s my own problem.”
