”How long do you think a shower should take?” Upon hearing her voice, Baron’s furrowed brow relaxed instantly. His thin lips curved slightly, indicating good mood, yet his words were annoyingly aggressive, ”Wait a minute, I’ll call you back. Make sure to answer! If you don’t, you’re dead!”

”Yes, Your Majesty.”

Even an emperor isn’t as bossy as him!

The call was disconnected.

Enna Clark was still wondering how long his ”just a minute” would be, and in the next second, his video call request popped up. She couldn’t help but twitch her lips before answering.

Enna Clark quickly averted her gaze and shifted the topic, asking, ”Has the Seafood Porridge been delivered yet?”

”It should be coming soon.” Baron Lawrence wasn’t aware of how captivating he looked right now. Even if he did notice, he would just pull the robe wider, making sure her eyes would only be on him!

”Enna Clark, why is the light so dim on your side?”

”Dim?” She fiddled with her phone, ”I didn’t notice. How about now, is it still dim?”

”Dim!”

But she thought it was fine.

”Wait a minute, I’ll go turn on the light.” She flipped back the covers and got up to turn on the lights.

As soon as the bedroom’s main light was switched on, the room was ablaze with brightness, so much so that she had to squint. Enna Clark quickly returned to bed, picked up her phone and asked, ”How about now? It’s not dim, right? I’ve turned on all the lights.”

Through the massive blue light projection in the Presidential Suite, Baron Lawrence gazed at her fair face, his dark eyes roving over her features, longing to hold her tightly, to merge her into his very being, ”Yeah.”

Damn it, why did he choose to torture himself by making a video call with her in the middle of the night!

This feeling of seeing her but not being able to touch her was too torturous.

It was worse than being stabbed!
