Chapter 2656: Chapter 2665: Old Master Lawrence’s Condition Is Cause for Concern

Outside the ward, Nicholas Lawrence and Baron Lawrence were still there, having just finished talking to the doctor.

The doctor briefly explained Old Master Lawrence’s condition, ”Old Lord’s body has always been very healthy, which is related to his fondness for exercise when he was young. However, as people age, their physical abilities definitely can’t match their younger years. Additionally, Old Lord’s body had a severe decline recently, if it weren’t for his previously strong health, he probably wouldn’t have woken up that time. We just gave Old Lord a routine examination, and the routine examination showed no major problems, just a need for good rest.”

The doctor paused, looking at Baron Lawrence’s face before continuing, ”Besides the routine examination, we also did a cell screening for Old Lord, but it will take a few days for the results to come out. We’ll only know Old Lord’s condition when the results are in. For now, we can only use routine treatment to help him recover.”

”Screening, are you suggesting the old man might have cancer?”

The surrounding air suddenly turned cold, and several medical staff were immediately overpowered by the strong aura, turning pale. The doctor in charge of speaking with Baron Lawrence swallowed nervously before explaining, ”President Lawrence, you misunderstand. What I mean is, Old Lord, after all, is old, and his body isn’t as healthy as when he was younger. Plus, he had a significant decline recently. Although we didn’t find anything from the routine examination when he suddenly fainted this time, to be safe, we decided to do a cell screening for Old Lord.”

This means that if the screening results come back with no problems, that’s obviously the best.

If there are any issues discovered, they can be treated early.

After all, Old Master Lawrence’s body hasn’t recovered, and he suddenly fainted. With his special status, the doctor is also afraid of not being thorough enough in the examination, as they can’t bear the responsibility if something goes wrong.

Although he explained that there was nothing wrong with Old Master Lawrence, Baron Lawrence’s expression did not improve, and the atmosphere remained heavy.

Nicholas Lawrence was much calmer than him; though his face didn’t look good, he still showed understanding toward the trembling medical staff, saying, ”I understand. You can go now. Remember to inform me as soon as the results are out.”

”Alright.”

The medical staff heaved a sigh of relief, quickly fleeing like they were escaping.

Only Enna Clark and the other three remained in the corridor.

After Nicholas Lawrence and the others left, he furrowed his brow, pinched his own high nose bridge, and looked at Baron with guilt, ”Baron, I’m sorry.”

This apology was for what Skye Lawrence had done.

Despite any conflicts between him and Old Master Lawrence, he was his father, after all, and he deeply respected his father. The daughter he’d raised since childhood, even if not biological, had done something unforgivable, such as poisoning his own father. He could never reconcile with that.

Especially now, with Old Master Lawrence fainting because of this, he felt even more pained inside.
