Chapter 2122: Chapter 2131: Didn’t Answer the Phone

”Mr. Harris called just now and said that Duke of Habden has already headed over. Shouldn’t he be arriving soon?” The assistant thought for a moment, finally recalling something that might save him.

”When did he call you?” The anxious person immediately looked at him, his gaze locked.

The assistant felt his heart leap into his throat as he was stared at, and quickly said, ”Over ten minutes ago, Mr. Harris called.”

”Over ten minutes ago...” Baron Lawrence’s lips pressed into a straight line, and without thinking, he commanded, ”Call back and ask where he is now!”

Assistant, ”...”

Duke of Habden only left over ten minutes ago. Ms. Clark might not have even departed yet.

Is Lord too anxious?

He thought this but dared not say it aloud, silently picking up the phone to call to the side.

Just then, Rupert Harris brought Emily Goldsmith over as well, and because of their close relationship, he went directly to find Baron Lawrence.

”Baron, how are you feeling?” After speaking, he noticed the assistant sweating heavily while trying to make a call, curious, ”What’s wrong?”

The assistant made the first call but didn’t get through, tried again, and still didn’t get through.

He stomped his foot, put down the phone, and shuffled over, as if someone was choking him, whispering, ”Lord, Mr. Harris didn’t pick up.”

After saying this, he distinctly felt a chilling wind pass over him, making his neck shrink slightly.

”Didn’t pick up?”

The assistant steeled himself and said, ”Yes, I called Mr. Harris twice, and he didn’t pick up either time.”

Baron Lawrence’s brows were furrowed so tightly it seemed they could crush flies, and whatever he thought of, his face suddenly turned grim, ”Keep calling! Until he picks up!”

After speaking, he seemed entirely unaware of Rupert Harris and the others, tightly furrowing his brows and pacing back and forth.

Not answering?

How could Scott not answer?

Could it be that something happened to that woman, causing Scott not to answer the phone?

Baron Lawrence’s expression turned grim to the extreme.

Mainly because this possibility wasn’t unfathomable!

After all, the words Skye Lawrence had said remained vividly in his mind.

Skye had mentioned that there was a force consistently targeting Enna Clark, and why Enna encountered so many troubles was because this force was constantly scheming.

Even the car accident in Yluria Country was related to that force behind the scenes!

That force is absolutely not simple, and it’s entirely possible they wish to stir trouble during this wedding!

As soon as Baron Lawrence thought of this, he couldn’t stand still for even a minute. He took large strides and suddenly said to the nearby Rupert Harris, ”No, I have to find someone!”

He wasn’t reassured.

Rupert Harris didn’t expect him to be so impulsive, ready to leave immediately, and grabbed him, blocking his path, ”Where are you going? Don’t tell me you plan to find Ms. Clark now?”

”Move!”

”Baron, what a joke! Today is your wedding. You are the groom; you must stay here to welcome guests! If you leave, what about the guests?” Rupert Harris was really baffled by him, just because Scott didn’t answer the phone, was there a need to be so tense?

”Maybe Scott simply didn’t hear the phone ring, or didn’t have the phone with him. You shouldn’t be too worried. You’ve been overly tense since last night. Last night was understandable, but today, you can’t be too reckless!”

Baron Lawrence didn’t know how to tell him about Skye’s words, nor did he know how to explain that his worry for Enna Clark wasn’t unwarranted!
