I'm a Married Man

Lenny’s POV

”Happy birthday Nhemo!” Van and I said smiling as Nhemo rubbed his eye walking out of his room sleepily.

”Daddy me too sleepy for this.” he said and I picked him up.

”Awww really? Even too sleepy for cake?” I asked and his eyes widen.

”Where is, the cake?” he asked looking all around until his eyes caught it on the table and Van laughed while I kissed his head. ”Daddy.” he said looking up at me.

”Yes?” I asked.

”That doesn’t look like cake.” he said frowning.

”It’s like a cake mixed with a pancake.” I said and he shrugged.

”As long as it’s yummy in my tummy!” he said smiling as he jumped in a seat at the table.

I smiled and pushed his seat up a bit while Van poured syrup and blueberries on top of the chocolate chip pancakes and eventually whip cream.

”Honey I think you did it backwards.” I said as Nhemo ate his pancakes happily, swinging his legs.

”Shhh.” Van said and kissed my cheek. ”The boy is happy and that’s all that matters.” he said and I rolled my eyes smiling.

”True, very true.” I said getting my camera out and took pictures of Nhemo making Van shake his head smiling.

Eventually we got ready to go. Nhemo was very excited as we left the room. I smiled brightly when we turned a corner and I saw something yellow. When Nhemo saw too his eyes widen. He looked at Van and I as we smiled.

”Y-You got SpongeBob to come?” Nhemo asked rubbing his eyes and I nodded smiling before kissing his head.

Nhemo smiled before running towards SpongeBob and giving him a big hug, blinking away happy tears. I glanced at Van smirking.

”I was kidding about the whole SpongeBob thing ya know.” I said and he only grinned.

”Maybe, but it has really made his day.” Van said and I smiled.

”Thank you.” I whispered to Van as we strolled along and he shrugged smiling brightly.

”Your welcome.” he said and leaned in for a kiss.

I blushes and quickly kissed his cheek before looking down blushing more, shuffling my feet. I heard Van chuckling making me huff.

”Thank you daddy!” I heard and turned to see Nhemo running towards me, clearly without warning but he was smiling brightly.

”Oof.” I said and hugged him back. ”Your welcome baby.” I said smiling then Nhemo pulled away and hugged Van.

”Thanks to you too daaad.” Nhemo said smiling up at him. This chapter was copied from novelceo . com without permission.

”Your welcome.” Van said smiling before tickling him and picked up the giggling boy.

All day we did something fun with Nhemo. We swam, okay they swam. Ate ’real cake’ as Nhemo said the pancakes were delicious but not cake. I took pictures of everything with my little Nhemo. They roller skated while Van had to catch me a few times. Played basket ball, me trying to avoid getting hit by one while Nhemo made the ball in the hoop three times and Van ten times. Eating at the buffet. Which was amazing with all that delicious food. But it was starting to get late so we went back to our room.

”But I’m not sleepy.” Nhemo said hopping in our bed.

”Well I am.” I said with my hands on my hips.

”Be not sleepy like me then.” Nhemo said smiling as Van laughed.

”How about no more sweets for you mister.” I said and Nhemo pouted while hopping still.

”But daddy, it’s my birthday still.” he said.

”Did you hear what you said, day. It is night now.” I said and Nhemo huffed.

”But it’s still a day which my birthday is today!” he said throwing his hands in the air frustrated which made his stuffed toy snail Gary, got sung across the room.

”Young man, it is time for sleep. Sleep helps you grow. you don’t want to be short like me right?” I asked and he sat down on the bed quickly shaking my head while Van was just laughing pretty much the whole time.

”But daddy.” Nhemo whined as I got his snail and gave it to him.

”What now?” I asked crossing my arms as he sniffled.

”I want to talk to Eric... Sammie... and Vinny.” he sniffled more and I felt completely terrible.

”Oh.. okay but bed afterwards.” I said and Nhemo nodded as I handed him my phone after calling Eric for video chatting.

”Hiiii Eric!” Nhem said and I heard Eric groan.

”Boy, it is way too late to be that loud. But happy birthday.” he said and Nhemo smiled.

”Thaaank yoooou, where’s Sammie and Vinny?” Nhemo asked pouting.

”Upstairs, don’t really wanna know what their doi-” he started to say and I took the phone away glaring at Eric.

”Don’t say that in front of Nhemo.” I said and Eric smirked.
