Gathering Wives with a System

She added an outer layer over it for good measure. After that, she bundled her hair into a neat bun, put on a cap, and finished with sunglasses and a mask to cover most of her face.

The disguise worked well enough that most people would not recognize her as Celia. She had plenty of practice sneaking around over the years, so these changes came naturally to her.

Of course, the clothes still showed off her slim and curvy figure in a way that drew attention. Normally she might have chosen something baggier to blend in completely, but today she wanted to look appealing for him.

Celia twirled around once to show off the outfit.

”How do I look?” she asked, waiting for his opinion.

”...good.”

The words were simple, but they seemed to satisfy her.

She puffed out her chest with clear pride, the motion both cute and noticeable because of how she was built.

Then she reached back into her spatial ring and pulled out another set of clothes, handing them over to him.

Isaac took them but looked surprised.

”You had clothes for me? Since when were you planning this?” he asked, his voice carrying a mix of disbelief and curiosity.

Celia just smiled, though he couldn’t see that due to her mask. She did not answer him and instead hurried him along to change. He put on the dark pants, a white t-shirt, and a black jacket. Then he added the cap and a mask to complete the look.

Celia looked him over from head to toe.

”Mhm. Sometimes I forget how good looking you are,” she said, putting her hand over his chest.

The t-shirt was a normal one, so it was slightly tight near his chest while slack near his abdomen. It showed Isaac’s muscles perfectly. The sight made Celia blush a little as she took it all in.

”Now, let’s go!” She wrapped her hand around Isaac’s and pulled him along.

”Wait, let me prepare myself—” Isaac started to say.

They left the resting room before he could finish his words.

There were several resting rooms, and the crowd and crew were so many that no one really focused on who was leaving which room.

Celia seemed to have predicted this, so her disguise did not bring much attention to them. Those that did notice them thought they were crewmates like the others.

Isaac was so nervous that he felt his heart would leap out of his chest. He wanted to use the disguise ability to hide, but Celia would not let him.

Every few seconds he looked around, hoping no one was paying attention to them. His steps felt heavier than usual as they moved through the area.

”If you keep acting so suspicious, people will notice. Just act natural,” Celia advised. Though she was enjoying his nervousness. This was the first time he was acting like this with her.

The two neared the women’s washroom. Isaac was almost dragging his feet at that point, but Celia pulled him along steadily.

The guard woman noticed Isaac and Celia. However, unlike what Isaac had predicted, she did not scold them. Instead she grinned. Celia moved naturally and gave something from her pocket to the woman.

”If someone within reports you, it’s not my problem, but I won’t report you,” the guard woman said.

Celia thanked her by changing her voice slightly. It was easy for her due to her idol career. Then she pulled Isaac inside.

”What was that?” Isaac hissed once they were further in.

”A lot of couples do this. I found out from Arlene. So we can give money to the guard women to enter the washroom,” she said.

Isaac was dumbfounded. But a bigger problem arose in his mind. There must be women in the washroom already.

The first area was the basin area. There was no one there at the moment. The washrooms were in the adjacent areas.

Isaac noticed that all the women seemed to be inside the stalls. Just then, one of the washroom doors was opening.

Before she came out and saw a man in the women’s washroom, Isaac swiftly moved with full speed and pulled Celia inside an empty bathroom.

As soon as he locked the door from inside, he breathed a sigh of relief.

The washrooms were clean and had no smell, obviously. Moreover, all washrooms had sensory dampening runes.

These runes forcefully suppressed senses of all awakeners to more normal levels.

Of course, the awakeners could overpower these runes easily if they tried. They were quite cheap. However, they had inbuilt alarms, so if anyone tried to snoop in the bathroom, the alarms would ring and the guards would take action.

This way, awakeners and humans could use the washroom in peace and privacy.

”Hehe, you look nervous,” Celia said, pulling out one string of her mask.
