AUBREE’S POV

We have launched the Inarez Bag Collection last week. As per what we had agreed, we will chose clients who will be eligible to buy the bag of Inarez.

We received inquiries from wealthy family abroad. Even the international stars were interested to buy our newly launched product.

We chose meticulously the client that will be eligible to buy the product.

We want to establish our brand. In a sense that people will have the impression that our brand is not just an ordinary brand or bag that anyone can have in a snap.

That is why we were very keen in choosing a design a material that will be use for the said product.

And I must commend Sheena. She’s a great help for us.

Now I can understand why Mrs. Inarez likes her for her son.

Sheena is an ideal daughter-in-law. She’s someone that you can be proud of.

It made me realize that my decision to let go of Gavin is the right thing to do.

He deserves the best. He deserve someone like Sheena.

And from what I have observed, it will not be impossible for those two to end up together.

Its hard to accept but that is the truth.

And from what I am seeing now, Sheena is big help to Gavin to forget about me.

Just like my original plan, after the successful launched of Inarez Bag Collection I submitted my resignation.

I was busy with the new concept that we will be doing for Inarez Bag Collection for the love month when my assistant told me that Mrs. Inarez wants me in her office.

I immediately went to her office.

I had a huge hint that the reason why she called me is because of my resignation.

I nervously knocked on her office door.

When I heard her voice telling me to come in. That is my go signal to come in.

She asked me to sit on the chair in-front of her table.

When I sat down she showed me the copy of my resignation.

”I will be very honest with you Ms. Custodio, I am quite disappointed with this.” She is referring to my resignation.

I lower my head. I felt embarrassed. Mrs. Inarez is big help for my career’s success, not just in this company but even in my previous company.

”I’m sorry Ma’am.” The only word I can utter.

”I can’t blame you though. I heard that the Dela Rama is already claiming that you will be part of their family in the future. Which made me again very disappointed. You know that I am rooting you for my son. But I guess he’s not enough.” She said in a serious tone. You are reading on novelceo.com, the official source.

”No Ma’am. Gavin is more than enough.” I said defensively.

She raised her brow. ”They why not choose my son then?”

”Its very complicated Ma’am. And I think Gavin deserves a girl better than me.” I said while lowering my head again.

”Better than you? Like Sam?” She asked.

I shook my head. ”Not that I don’t see Sam as someone who’s better than me. But from what I observe, the girl who is deserving of Gavin is Sheena.”

I saw her sudden smile when she heard the name Sheena.

Which made my heart sting.

She really like her for Gavin.

”Well I think its not a secret that aside from you, Sheena is the only girl that I like for my son. And I think your right. Sheena can be a great help for my son to forget you.” She said seriously.

I nodded. I’m hurt by what she said but she’s right.

”That’s why I am accepting your resignation. And also I want to ask a request from you.” She added.

I suddenly got nervous. Though I haven’t know her request, my heart feels like breaking.

”I want you to stay away from my son. I saw how devastated he is right now. He might look strong on the outside but I know deep inside he’s not okay.” She said coldly.

My eyes widen from what I heard from her. But I understand her point so I slowly nodded on her.

Staying away from him is the best solution in this situation.

”Thanks Aubree. And I want you to know that I still like you. But I just need to do this for my son.”

I nodded again. ”I understand Ma’am.”

After my conversation with Mrs. Inarez, I feel like I was floating the whole day. I was not on my right mind.

I barely help my team. I didn’t even understood what they are saying, I just nodded in all the things that they asked me.

I trust my people, I know that they are capable to do a good job. That is why I am leaving this company with ease because I know that my team will still do great even without me.

I was still not in myself when we made a presentation to the board.

I asked one of my team to do the presentation instead. I told them that I am not feeling well and I will not be able to do the presentation.
