Shen Rong was practicing calligraphy when he heard Lin Biao’s words. His hand holding the brush paused in mid-air, and because the ink-soaked tip had not yet met the paper, large drops of ink dripped down, ruining the nearly finished character.

”What did you say?” Shen Rong looked at his trusted confidant. What is this mess about Chiang Qing and Bi Xiaojin?

The seventy-year-old gentleman asked so lightly, yet Lin Biao felt an inexplicable shudder in his heart, swallowed his saliva, and handed over the file folder in his hand, saying: ”...The Third Mistress and this Bi Xiaojin have been too close.”

Lin Biao was anxious at heart.

”Speak.” Shen Rong wiped his hands with a clean towel and looked at Lin Biao.

”This Bi Xiaojin was specially hired by Chiang Tian as an assistant secretary. Every time they meet, it’s in Chiang Tian’s office...” Lin Biao started cautiously.

Shen Rong walked to the table, picked up the tea, and took a sip. The cold tea made him spit it out again.

The more calm Shen Rong appeared, the more frightened Lin Biao felt.

”So, your conclusion is that the Third Mistress is cheating on me?” Shen Rong curled his lips.

”The eldest master received this document and handed it to me, only then...”

”So, Qizheng discovered it first? But he didn’t tell me and instead told you first?” Shen Rong immediately realized the key point.

Lin Biao swallowed his saliva and said, ”The eldest master had his difficulties. During that period, because of the teasing incident, he and Chiang Qing were somewhat estranged, leading to some hesitation. He wanted to confirm things before telling you!”

”So, what have you confirmed now?”

”The Third Mistress has gone to the company now.”

In other words, while Shen Rong was not at home, she went to rendezvous with that Bi guy again.

Shen Rong smiled once more: ”If that’s the case, why didn’t Qizheng come personally? Also, who gave him this document and with what intention? Did he consider that?”

Lin Biao opened his mouth.

”In significant matters, he’s unwilling to put in effort. Yet, in these trivial issues, he calculates quite well!” Shen Rong chuckled, but the smile did not reach his eyes; instead, it was filled with coldness and disappointment.

No one knows a child better than his father. Shen Qizheng’s intentions could not be precisely guessed by Shen Rong, but he could figure out most of them.

It is precisely for this reason that he felt disappointed—his eldest son was only so capable.

”Sir, the eldest master was also afraid...” Lin Biao couldn’t help but defend Shen Qizheng.

”You don’t need to speak for him.” Shen Rong glanced at him indifferently, ”Prepare the car.”
