”It doesn’t matter if you don’t know. Since she was a VVIP at your hotel, she must have some significant background; either she had achievements of her own or her husband was successful. If it were the latter, then could her husband have been me?” Qi Taiguo asked, ”If it was me, then that means up until that time, nothing would have happened to me, right?”

”And if it were the former...” Cheng Su frowned.

”But it’s quite likely the latter.” Qi Taiguo suggested, ”No matter what, those later years must be good, aren’t they?”

Cheng Su said nothing.

”So, you need to have faith in me. The past life has already shown you that our future will only get better.” The more Qi Taiguo thought about it, the more convinced he became that it was true. This way, he wasn’t afraid that Chiang Qing could do anything to them.
