Mother Qi looked at her grandson with a deadpan expression, nothing like the impulsive manner of a child spouting off, and couldn’t help but swallow.

Cheng Su was stunned and looked at Mother Qi.

”Mom, you’re Xiaoqi’s Mom, are you an outsider? Outsiders don’t live in our house, do they?” Qi Xiaoqi asked in a childish voice.

Cheng Su smiled slightly and said, ”Of course, I’m your real mom, you came from my belly, how could Mom be an outsider?” She also gave Mother Qi a cold glance.

”See, my mom’s not an outsider!” Qi Xiaoqi shouted, pretending to be smug again.

Mother Qi’s face flushed.

”Mom will tell you a story.” Cheng Su picked up her son and said as she passed by Mother Qi: ”Mom, this is the last time I tolerate you. If you say such things in front of Xiaoqi again, please go back to the hometown; I won’t trouble you here.”

Mother Qi shook all over, looked at her in disbelief, and her lips started to tremble.

The seriousness and inviolability in Cheng Su’s eyes left her speechless. Watching the mother and son, she swallowed.

Returning to the room, Cheng Su placed her son on the bed and asked, looking into his eyes, ”What just happened?”

She saw fear in her mother-in-law’s eyes, especially when looking at Qi Xiaoqi, her gaze was as if she were looking at a monster.

Under Cheng Su’s stare, Qi Xiaoqi said, ”She said you have the surname Cheng and are an outsider, while we have the surname Qi and are family.”

”And what do you think?” Cheng Su asked.

”Of course not!”

”Exactly, as long as you know in your heart that it’s not true, that’s enough. Why did you have to argue with her?” Cheng Su said.

Qi Xiaoqi looked at her, bewildered; wasn’t he standing up for her?

”I don’t need you to stand up for me now. Xiaoqi, remember, you’re only one year and two or three months old, and children your age are just beginning to speak. But you, you’re advanced in everything. A normal child, no matter how advanced, wouldn’t speak rationally!” Cheng Su meaningfully said, ”A child should behave like a child. If you want to show your talent and abilities, now’s not the age. It won’t make people think you’re amazing; they’ll just think you might be a monster!”

Nonsense!

Qi Xiaoqi blushed with anger but kept his mouth shut.

”Your grandma is someone who loves superstitions. Do you think just now she might have thought you were possessed by a ghost or something? If she tries to perform an exorcism on you, what suffering would you endure?” Cheng Su continued.

Qi Xiaoqi stood frozen.

Cheng Su sighed, gently patting his head: ”Son, don’t reveal yourself in the future!”
