After Mother Cheng went back to her hometown, the happiest one was Mother Qi. She could finally “monopolize” this little treasure, Qi Xiaoqi, but Qi Xiaoqi, seeing his grandma leave, moped around for several days.

After the last feeding incident, Mother Qi no longer dared to taste the food herself before giving it to Qi Xiaoqi. “You can go back for the ancestor worship,” said Mother Qi. She’d been overjoyed these past half month spending time with Qi Xiaoqi. Even though Qi Xiaoqi wasn’t very warm to her, she was still willing to stay here. So when Father Qi said he wanted to go back to their hometown to prepare for Qingming and pay respects to the ancestors, she showed clear reluctance.

She didn’t want to go.

Father Qi said impatiently, “If we don’t go back, what about your leg? Didn’t you say it hurts?”

Mother Qi pouted.

“So you’re just not going to treat it?” Father Qi sneered. “Fine then, when it rains or snows, let’s see what you do. It’s not me who’s in pain anyway!”

“Dad, Mom, don’t argue. How about this, I’ll take Mom to a hospital here and have it checked?” Cheng Su said.

She didn’t have that much emotional attachment to Mother Qi, but as a daughter-in-law, she would still shoulder her responsibilities. Especially now that Qi Taiguo wasn’t around, she was obligated to help take care of things.

Mother Qi had been wanting not to leave, so she quickly said, “That’s good.”

Cheng Su didn’t drag her feet on purpose either. She took Mother Qi to see an orthopedist and also had an X-ray done. The bone had already grown back together, but because of her age, it was growing slowly and healing slowly too.
