She was going because of her conscience and because the woman was her lover’s mother.

”I wonder if that woman is also like you, sharp-tongued but kind-hearted,” Ning Ge suddenly mumbled.

”What did you say?” Cheng Su turned her head to look over.

”Nothing!” Ning Ge turned away awkwardly, rubbing his nose, his earlobes slightly red.

Cheng Su’s eyes narrowed slightly, teasingly saying, ”Oh, are you thinking of some beauty? Let me guess, is it Miss Song?”

Ning Ge’s eyes widened, ”Who’s thinking of her!”

Cheng Su raised an eyebrow and said, ”Such a big reaction, stop pretending. You’re not getting any younger; if you really like her, don’t miss the chance!”

Ning Ge pouted, wanting to retort, but finally said, ”So old-fashioned. Be careful, or your child might grow up with your exact same temperament!”

Cheng Su laughed.
