Cheng Su grabbed the pillow behind her and threw it at him.

Qi Taiguo caught it with a laugh, sat down beside her, and then said seriously, ”Do you remember who Chiang Qing accompanied to the research event last year?”

Cheng Su was startled, then said sharply, ”Are you saying it was Secretary Gao who took her away?”

Qi Taiguo nodded: ”Ning Ge traced it back to Secretary Gao. Now, Chiang Qing is likely hidden by Secretary Gao.”

”Hidden?” Cheng Su sat up slightly and said, ”How could it be? If he wanted to take her away, why hide her? This is...”

She was pregnant, and her reactions were slow. She couldn’t quite understand Secretary Gao’s intentions for hiding her, what was the purpose?

Qi Taiguo looked at her with a strange expression and said, ”What do you think a man hides a woman for? That Secretary Gao is also a powerful man with a family.”

”Seems so. Who would’ve thought that old guy would stay patient all this time and only now take her away.” Qi Taiguo sighed and exhaled deeply: ”Anyway, we can be somewhat relieved. Since she’s hidden, surely he won’t let her cause a scene.”

Cheng Su nodded, thinking of Chiang Qing’s pitiful situation with that old man, and couldn’t help but shiver.
