”Bah! It’s just a godparent relationship!” Ning Le scoffed, but they acted like they were real family. No one was more eager than them.

Cheng Jiasheng grinned and said, ”Sure, just a godparent. But when my Aunt Su brings something delicious, don’t come begging for it.”

”...” Ning Le was embarrassed.

Cheng Jiasheng, full of pride, heard Qi Taiguo shout at them to stop talking, and promptly focused on doing push-ups seriously.

”Report!”

A sentry ran over; the superior was summoning Qi Taiguo for a discussion.
