Cheng Su carefully inquired about the details of the Loo Family affair, and after a while, let out a sigh of relief; the Loo Family was finally defeated.

”It wasn’t easy to bring down these two big tigers. Everything is a major issue now, and it depends on how extensive the implications are. The Loo Family probably won’t escape, but Chiang Qing, being affiliated with the military, might not be handled openly to avoid extensive entanglements,” Qi Taiguo whispered, ”As for this matter, just hear it with one ear and let it out with the other, and don’t discuss it.”

Cheng Su said, ”I know. I’m just an ordinary citizen; what major plans are decided above don’t concern ordinary folks like me.”

Qi Taiguo nodded.

”This way, we owe Ning Ge a big favor!” Cheng Su sighed, ”Who would have thought he had such a hidden identity, no wonder he disappears frequently, probably off on missions! That boy really hid well!”

Qi Taiguo said, ”His identity must remain hidden, and the tasks he undertakes are more secretive than ours. Don’t blame him for keeping it from you.”

Cheng Su rolled her eyes at him and said, ”Why would I blame him? I just feel... ah, that’s why you can’t judge a person by only their appearance.” She added, ”Thankfully, he’s on our side. Had he been an enemy, we wouldn’t even know how we lost!”

”Indeed!” Qi Taiguo couldn’t agree more, thankfully he’s a friend, not a foe.

Cheng Su turned to him and said, ”So you’re saying, when we first met him, wasn’t he injured? Was he on one of those mysterious tasks then?”

”Very likely!” Qi Taiguo gave a self-mocking smile, ”At that time, I didn’t see through anything and was easily deceived by him.”
