Dahe counted on his fingers and said, ”From yesterday till now, nearly 36 hours!”

That long? Qi Taiguo frowned slightly.

”I said, I’ve told your sister-in-law about you being unconscious.” Dahe blinked rapidly as he spoke.

Dahe shrank back, stammering, ”I-I just, seeing you not waking up, I was afraid...”

He dared not utter that ominous word.

Dahe offered an embarrassed smile.

Qi Taiguo reached to remove the IV from his hand.

Dahe, alarmed, held onto his hand, ”Commander, what are you doing? The doctor said the IV can’t be stopped. Although the toxin in your body has been cleared, there might be some remnants. To be cautious, you need to complete three bags of IV fluids continuously!”

”Nonsense, don’t I know my own body? Let go, I need to call your sister-in-law, or she’ll be scared out of her wits!” Qi Taiguo said.

”You don’t necessarily need to remove the IV to make a call, and we don’t even know if your sister-in-law is around. If you take it out and something goes wrong, she’ll blame you when you get back! Just wait, I’ll go get a clothes rack, so you can make the call while the IV is still in,” said Dahe, and he ran out. Shortly, he returned with a clothes rack, hung the IV bag on it, and helped Qi Taiguo out of the ward with one hand.
