I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Hearing what Lin Yi said, everyone was curious about what Lin Yi actually did.

Subsequently, under Lin Yi’s arrangement, Yue Sijing took the group to the police station, where they recorded some material, even getting some cooperation from the Wu family.

The Wu brothers were bewildered, never in their lives did they think they’d end up as actors.

It’s fucking absurd!

The whole process lasted for a day, ending when it got dark. Yang Wantong’s parents successfully received compensation, almost twice their loss.

Lin Yi could sense that once this thing aired, the buzz would be significant.

It should be counted towards the task.

Just two more shoots and his task would be complete.

By noon the next day, the rough cut from yesterday’s footage was already done, presented promptly to Lin Yi by Yue Sijing.

”Why does it feel a bit lacking?”

”You felt it too?” Yue Sijing asked smiling.

”Listening to you, it sounds like you know where the problem is, why not make it better before bringing it here.”

”The so-called problem, you’d have to ask our Principal Lin.”

”Hmm? What’s it got to do with me?”

”It’s mainly because the problem was resolved too abruptly. The chickens got poisoned, Liu Zhan got beat up, and then somehow the Wu brothers got arrested. Although we added some footage later, it seemed too weak, the effect is unsatisfactory.”

Yue Sijing looked at Lin Yi with a smile, ”You didn’t, by any chance, fight them into submission, did you?”

”How could I, I’m such a civilized person.”

Yue Sijing smiled, ”So that’s how it is.”

”Fine, let’s go with it then,” Lin Yi said a bit reluctantly:

”What about the case of the woman who got pregnant soon after joining, did you follow up on that?”

”All arranged. Meeting at one this afternoon,” replied Yue Sijing:

”But I think we should be cautious about this matter. If handled poorly, it could explode in the media, destroying the reputation we’ve built.”

”I understand, but issues like this are what draw societal attention; we have to boost our ratings again.”

”Alright then, time’s set, we’ll meet at one this afternoon.”

”Okay.”
