I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

”From what I know, Yang Guangwei does owe you wages, but you damaged a piece of equipment worth 200,000 yuan after work, and Yang Guangwei wants you to pay 100,000 yuan before settling wages. I believe you’ve discussed this deeply before, but you concealed it during our communication; am I correct?”

Xu Hui and his villagers’ expressions changed, but instead of embarrassment, they displayed anger.

”What do you mean by our fault? The equipment quality was poor, and it broke with a slight bump. Why blame us?”

Xu Hui’s expression and attitude grew rude.

”What’s the matter with you? Were you bribed? We’re ordinary people being bullied, and you’re not speaking up for us; what kind of journalists are you?”

”We’re journalists but must be fair and just and report the truth thoroughly.”

”The truth is he owes us wages and should help us get our money back and uphold justice for us.”

Lin Yi kept his expression calm, controlling his emotions well, even with a smile.

”Rest assured, we’ll give you a reasonable solution. If you don’t admit to damaging the equipment, we’ll discuss another matter.”

”During work, you secretly took many cables and scrap metal to sell, you won’t deny this, right?”

Lin Yi’s words struck Xu Hui’s weak spot, diminishing his momentum.

Moreover, not just him, even his fellow villagers’ expressions turned awkward.

”When did we steal anything? Don’t believe his false accusations!”

”This is not an unfounded accusation; there’s surveillance video with solid evidence.”

After that, Zhao Yuhuan took out her phone.

Seeing the surveillance video, their faces turned sour, even a bit ashamed.

”With solid evidence, any denial won’t help,” Lin Yi said:

”Now there are two solutions: first, pay Yang Guangwei the 100,000 yuan for equipment damages; second, Yang Guangwei will pay your wages in full while suing you, demanding compensation for the equipment, and pursuing criminal responsibility for theft. You choose which option.”
