I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 3715: Chapter 3706: The More Prominent the Tree, the More it Attracts the Wind

”Recently, besides the e-commerce conference we have here, there’s another local internal event.”

Xiao Bing said:

”I heard the participants are some local internet and semiconductor companies, it seems they’re preparing to unite and report to the leaders about the Lingyun Group issue. We’re just looking into it.”

Upon hearing this, Lin Yi’s expression remained exceptionally calm.

”Who’s the ringleader of this event?”

”Sun Shengyao, the boss of Shitong Electronics, also the largest semiconductor company here.” Xiao Bing said:

”In terms of scale, it surely can’t compare to the Lingyun Group, but their business volume isn’t small either. If you exclude Lingyun Group, they would count as a first-tier company. I’ve heard they’ve made a lot of breakthroughs in technology in recent years, striving steadily.”

”I know about Shitong Electronics.”

Even if Lin Yi is a hands-off boss, he knows some competitors in the industry.

This company called Shitong Electronics indeed has some influence in the industry.

”Are they only communicating with local companies?”

”Normally, it’s only local companies, since it’s their internal event, but thanks to this e-commerce conference, many non-local semiconductor companies have joined in. Now they’re discussing how to report this to the higher-ups. In short, the situation is rather unfavorable for the Lingyun Group.”

”Have you investigated what relationship Sun Shengyao from Shitong Electronics has with the Chen family?”

”Hm?”

The two of them looked at Lin Yi.

”Chen family? Which Chen family?”

”The person in charge of Dragon Eagle is Chen Zhengnan, it’s their family.” Lin Yi said:

”Currently, the pressure within the country is so high, mostly because they’ve stirred things up.”

”Ah?”

This news surprised the two women, ”They actually play behind-the-back stabbing like this.”

”The Chen family is opposed to the Lu family, and I’m Elder Lu’s person. Now that there’s a chance to suppress me, they naturally won’t let it slip by.”

”Normally, considering Lingyun Group’s status domestically, typically no company would dare have any other thoughts. Even if they did, they wouldn’t have the guts, I guess there’s backing from the Chen family behind them, otherwise they wouldn’t have the courage.”

”That’s beside the point, the main concern is how to resolve this issue.” Luo Qi said:

”But from a logical standpoint, what they’re doing is justified because the Lingyun Group has squeezed their survival space. Even bystanders might have an issue with Lingyun Group, whatever we do, we lack legitimacy.”

Xiao Bing nodded, agreeing with this.

”Feels like a higher level of strategy, everyone’s cards are on the table, and we’re left without any options.”

”We may be out of options, but that doesn’t mean Lin Bro isn’t.” Luo Qi looked at Lin Yi and said:

”Lin Bro, now is the time for a showdown. If Lingyun Group suffers, it would mean the Guardian Brigade loses face. This matter’s impact might be greater than expected; even if we have to fake it till we make it, we can’t let the Chen family succeed.”

”I’ve already thought of a solution, relieving the domestic pressure isn’t the issue.”

Lin Yi said:

”I’m giving you two a task, go check on the guy named Sun Shengyao and see if he has any relationship with the Chen family.”

”It’s best if there’s a connection, but if not, it means there’s potentially another enemy emerging, one with considerable influence.” Luo Qi said.

”You’re right, so this needs urgent investigation.”

”Besides this matter, what else do we need to do?” Xiao Bing asked:

”Does Lingyun Group need our help? Don’t hesitate to ask us.”

”There’s no way we’d hesitate to ask, but we don’t need you for now.”

”How about we join forces to issue a statement supporting Lingyun Group?”

”Don’t do that, it would be like putting Lingyun Group on the grill.”

”What do you mean, even though we’re different industries, we wouldn’t cause trouble either.”

”It would be obvious banding together, which is frowned upon.”

Lin Yi looked at the two of them, his gaze deep.

”The bigger the tree, the more it attracts the wind. When you inflate to a certain degree, it’s not a good thing.”

”I understand what Lin Bro means.” Luo Qi said:

”Some things can be done quietly in the dark, but when brought to light, it’s not favorable.”

”That’s about right, your current task is to investigate Sun Shengyao and determine which side he’s on.”

Luo Qi laughed.
