Chapter 3567: Chapter 3559: Escape and Pursuit

The two people had their throats slit.

Blood was flowing everywhere, they were dead.

”Boss, if we keep waiting here, we’re bound to run into more of them. Taking down a few more, our disguise will be complete.”

Others also agreed with Zhang Chaoyue’s suggestion.

Things are getting chaotic here. If we change into their clothes, there’s indeed a great chance to escape.

Looking at the bodies on the ground.

Lin Yi felt a bit dazed.

Suddenly, he shuddered.

His face turned pale.

Cold sweat trickled down his forehead.

”Lin Bro!”

Luo Qi rushed up immediately.

”What happened to you?”

Lin Yi didn’t speak, panting heavily.

Back then, he had made a similar decision.

In the end, he was discovered, leading to being surrounded by enemies.

If he had been more experienced back then.

Perhaps Zhou Liang wouldn’t have died.

”It’s nothing.”

Lin Yi gradually calmed down.

”Don’t worry about them, let’s go.”

The people in the group looked at Lin Yi, feeling mixed emotions.

They all know very well.

Lin Yi is the spiritual pillar and symbol of the group.

No matter how strong the group is.

As long as Lin Yi falls.

The group will fall.

Following Lin Yi’s lead, the crowd continued to walk towards the outskirts of the forest.

Like this, they moved while resting.

Until dawn, they arrived at the edge of the jungle.

Just a few hundred meters from the highway.

But the path wasn’t easy.

They encountered two groups of foreigners but dealt with them quietly.

But for the group, this wasn’t a good sign.

If their team can’t reach anyone.

They would notice something is wrong immediately.

And send more people, conducting a more detailed search.

If these news spread out, foreigners would swarm, making the breakout an even bigger challenge.

”How far is the highway?”

”About 800 meters.” Xiao Bing said:

”But not far from here is Orix Town, a chaotic place ruled by a local gang.”

”Let’s head there,” Lin Yi said:

”Using their identities as cover, we’ll have a better chance.”

Lin Yi turned back, looking at several people in the group.

”Show the stuff on you that’s worth something, give them some allure.”

”Seems the most valuable thing on me are my kidneys,” Zhang Chaoyue said.

”Then later you can hang out with the old ladies from the tribe, let them enjoy,” Zhao Yunhu said.

”Leave me some life, will you.”

Following Lin Yi’s instructions, they exposed all the little accessories they were carrying.

They might appear insignificant.

But the cheapest ones were worth tens of thousands.

After getting ready, Lin Yi didn’t choose a straight path.

Instead, he wandered around.

The news of the gold mine spread worldwide, and many had already discovered gold.

These news were buzzworthy online.

The local gangs wouldn’t stay indifferent.

They’d definitely send people searching.

Lin Yi was waiting for these people.

Just as expected, soon there were shouts.

”Don’t move! Put your hands up.”

Lin Yi glanced diagonally ahead.

They were two people too, dressed very simply.

Their arms bare, tied with headscarves.

They held outdated guns, poorly equipped.

And their gun-wielding stance wasn’t very proper.

Lin Yi quickly made a judgment.

They were precisely the ones he was looking for.

”We’re tourists, don’t shoot.”

Lin Yi raised his hands.

The two black men swaggered toward Lin Yi with weapons.

Their eyes immediately locked on the accessories on them.

”Have you found gold here?”

The tall black man asked.

”We found some, but we left it in the car.”

The two black men exchanged glances.

The tall black man continued:

”Take off everything on you.”

”Alright, alright, don’t shoot.”

With rustling sounds, Lin Yi took off the accessories, handing them to the two.

”Can we go now?”

”Hand over the gold you have.”

”The gold isn’t with us, it’s in the car.”

”Lead us there.”

”But our car is a bit far from here, if we walk there, it might take hours.”

”Come with us.”

The two held their guns, controlling Lin Yi and the others, leading them to the outskirts.

Soon, the group walked out of the forest.

After staying in the woods for over ten days, seeing the outside world again.

They all felt a ripple within.

But they acted calm.

The danger hadn’t been eliminated; it’s not time to be happy.

”Hurry up, get in our car.”

Lin Yi saw a jeep parked on the highway.

Its exterior was very worn, rust all over, even lacking glass.

Quickly, Lin Yi focused on something else.

The surroundings were quiet, no one in sight.

Once they were in the car, the first step of the plan would be accomplished.

”Hurry up, take us to get the gold.”
