I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

”It wasn’t just a brief glance.” Lin Yi said:

”I remember this parcel quite well. I checked it carefully back then and confirmed there was no issue.”

”What do you mean!” Liu Manzhi said with feigned anger:

”Are you implying that I broke it and deliberately caused trouble for you?”

”Though I don’t know why you’d do that, I think the issue probably lies with you.”

Lin Yi pointed at the damaged cardboard.

”This isn’t caused by transportation, and you should be aware of the situation.”

”You couriers better not be excessive. To shirk responsibility, you’d even say something like this.” Liu Manzhi pointed at Lin Yi and said:

”Just say you don’t want to take responsibility, and I’ll complain to your company.”

”Alright then, I’ll take this parcel back with me first.”

Hearing Lin Yi say this, Liu Manzhi’s expression improved a lot.

”That’s more like it. Your business opens its doors to customers; naturally, there should be some accountability when problems arise. Otherwise, who would use your service in the future?”

”You don’t need to worry about how our business does,” Lin Yi said:

”But I’ll remind you, I’m taking this parcel back to investigate.”

”Investigate?”

”If it turns out to be a transport issue, we will certainly compensate, but if it’s man-made, you should think carefully about the consequences.”

”Consequences? Are you threatening me?”

”According to relevant criminal law provisions, this constitutes fraud. I just wanted to remind you; you still have a chance to change your mind. Once it leaves with me, you’ll have to bear the consequences.”

”Ha, trying to scare me? You think I’m easily frightened?”

Liu Manzhi said bluntly:

”Hurry and take it away, so I don’t have to look at you.”

Lin Yi didn’t say anything further and cheerfully took the parcel away.

With a loud bang, Liu Manzhi shut the door tightly, leaving no further words.

”Husband, why were you arguing?” Liu Manzhi’s wife asked:

”And what investigation did he mention? What is he going to do?”

”This courier is smart, it seems he’s figured out it’s man-made, so I had to argue a bit, don’t worry.”

”What if he really finds out?”

”How could that be? He’s a courier, not a detective. As long as I don’t admit it, he can’t do anything to me and has to obediently compensate!”
