This was William West, Associate Professor, and head of the Alchemy Element at the Crystal Tower, also one of the evaluation experts when Ron first arrived at the Central Lands.

”Good morning, Director West.” Ron nodded slightly, maintaining just the right polite distance.

”Busy with academic research since your arrival at the Crystal Tower, the committee’s ’Treasure Level’ evaluation was well-deserved.”

William’s tone carried a hint of admiration:

”Are you here to submit a thesis? Which field is your research in?”

”On the miniaturization and mobilization improvement of Simulation Battle Devices.” Ron answered succinctly, showing basic respect while maintaining some reservation.

William’s eyebrows slightly raised, initially showing obvious surprise, then turning into deep interest:

”That’s a highly challenging topic. The energy demands and spatial limitations of traditional devices have always been bottlenecks for many researchers; if substantial breakthroughs can be made...”

”Thank you.” Ron responded briefly, then left the review office.
