Break Free：Bound book 3

”Just how long are you going to pretend that you are okay?” Yohan hyung whispered, his voice was still sharp yet I can feel a lot of emotions coming from him.

Josh hyung stood up from his seat and face the younger guy.

”And so what if I’m not okay? Do you want me to go sulk in the corner and cry? We have concerts to attend to and I’m not going to act like a fool and disregard my responsibilities just for personal reasons,” he hissed and everyone on the bus tense when Yohan hyung moved forward.

”And so what if you sulk? So what if you cry? Is that so bad?” he asked painfully and my heart dropped at the sight of my two oldest members.

At this point, none of us is able to stop the two.

”It is! I don’t want to keep being a burden to this group! I can’t even do my parts so well and all I do is create problems for everyone!” he was fuming in anger.

”Josh hyung,” Vash mumbled, his eyes getting teary.

Is that how Josh hyung felt?

His hands were obviously shaking and I had to stop myself from moving forward to calm him down.

”Whoever told you that you’re just a burden hyung?” Rome hyung asked, appalled at his words.

We didn’t know that Josh hyung had concerns like this in his head.

He avoided our glance and sat back in his chair.

”Hyung, you’re not a burden. You are never a burden. In fact, I think it’s mostly because of your guidance that’s what keeping us all together.” Jason hyung answered. This time, he’s already wearing a shirt.

”Josh hyung...” Yohan hyung called for his name and Josh hyung slowly looked towards our direction, tears now threatening to spill down his cheeks.

”It’s okay to breakdown in front of us. We’re your brothers, aren’t we? We’ll comfort you because that’s what we’re here for. We are your friends.” Yohan hyung’s voice softened. ”Just because we have responsibilities to do doesn’t mean we aren’t capable of showing our own feelings. We get hurt too. And it’s not like you’re letting the world know about it. It’s just us, your friends. Cry if you want, and we’ll share the burden resting on your chest” he added and before I knew it, tears now streaming down Josh hyung’s face.

Why didn’t I see this coming?

Why did I fail to notice that Josh hyung is on the verge of breaking down?

Did I disregard them these past few months?

My hands balled into fist, anger seeping through me.

It hurts to realize that there’s not much I can do every time my brothers are having a hard time. I can’t even utter a word of comfort to them.

Samantha noona....

Then it hit me. My noona is all alone too.

I shouldn’t have trust Josh hyung’s words that they’ve already made up.

I should have noticed the bags which continuously getting larger under his eyes. You are reading on NovelCEO, the official source.

I should have noticed the fake smile he had been putting ip these days...

I should have noticed that we’re slowly losing him as he starts to lose himself.

And the fact that one of the reasons why Josh hyung was having a hard time was because of my sister, made me feel even guiltier.

I love them both and I refuse to take any side.

”Yohan...” his voice cracked a little and we noticed how his shoulders started shaking.

”She broke up with me,” he started and I felt my stomach churning. ”And she’s not answering my calls anymore, I don’t even know what to do now. The more I try, the more I lose her. Fuck!” He washed his faced with his hands and then we knew. He had been restraining himself since that day Samantha noona left.

He wanted to leave so he can fix their relationship but he can’t.

”Hyung!” Haiden hyung asked concerned. ”That’s impossible. Samantha loves you to death. She wouldn’t break up with you just like that,”

”There’s got to be something,” Rome hyung added.

”Yeah, this isn’t a prank right?” Haiden hyung awkwardly tried to check if there is a hidden camera.

”That’s right. I mean, it’s Josh hyung and Samantha. They’re like perfect.” Vash mumble.

Our members looked confused and I am as well.

And then I realized, my sister must be having a hard time to. And I didn’t even know.

”It’s all my fault. I messed up!” Josh hyung mumbled and it breaks my heart to see him choke on his own tears.

Will Rosie and I end up like them too?

”Hyung, we all know it isn’t like that.” I started. I know I wasn’t in favor of them being in a relationship at some point, especially when he unintentionally hurt my sister before but I won’t deny the fact that he’d love my sister unconditionally. I witness all that and I knew he is true.
